It's a shame they're just doing the same item system as League and Predecessor. I definitely preferred Smite's branching item paths over just buying the same item 3 times into 1 item

I have to say, coming from predecessor I definitely enjoy it. I know it’s lame to see your game change but I hope you feel better that more players like me funnel in to give it longevity

I've been a Smite player since season 2, and I'm very happy with the item shop change. It allows for the devs to more easily balance around gold efficiency of stats and effects, and I think it'll be more intuitive in the long run. I like the freedom to buy more than 1 of the tier 1 and 2 items, and it encourages more dynamic item building (you can shift tier 3 targets to buy partway into building an item because more items now share tier 1 and 2 components). I think it's a better system overall, and I suspect players used to Smite 1's system won't take too long to really appreciate it. The increased accessibility for players visiting from DotA, LoL, or Predecessor is only a bonus, and I'm glad it makes Smite 2 feel that bit more welcoming to them.

4080super and 7800x3d , dropping to around 35-40 fps in teamfight , my friend on Xsx drops to around 10 fps in teamfights NICE.

Similar specs to you, 120 fps consistent. Arr your drivers updated? How's your hard drive space? Have a lot of other apps open?

pretty sure you've got some other issue going on cause im on a 3060 ti with a ryzen 5 5600x and im granted not hitting my max fps but im still levelling at around 80-90 in teamfights

@@Venkullix 2560x1440, everything on lowest settings or max settings does no change the fps or GPU utilization for me, i play cyberpunk whit Pathtracing or alan wake 2 and i got more stable frames.

Seeing the game is bringing a tear to my eye. I first started playing smite as a depressed 14 year old and it saved my life. Now I'll be 25 in a few months and I've never been happier.

ima be real support does not feel NEARLY as fun in this game so far it really feels like protections do absolutely nothing and most of the supporting actives are pretty ass too besides the aoe cleanse

Brother, it's an Alpha for a new iteration of Smite where every god can buy whatever item they want. Expect people to play Odin ADC, Kukulkan jungle, Chaac mid, Zeus solo and Neith support. It's going to happen even if you "force" them to play a picked role, as nothing guarantees they actually will, lol Have fun, try wacky stuff, and mute whoever's complaining too much :)

Okay I only agree in terms of playing where you’re meant to. I had a game where my support didn’t play with our carry. They just stayed with our offlaner, forcing me stop jungling and stay with my carry so he wouldn’t 1v2

It's a shame they released this game and you have to back it so strongly. It's a worse version of smite 1. It feels soft and fluffy like a poorly aged cartoon. The graphics were impressive when we all watched first releases, but this can't make a game better for the long haul. Good luck smite 2, Predecessor is better.
