Here's a story time I NEVER thought I would share but here we are LOL. My first gay experience was definitely crazy but I hope I could make it into something entertaining for you to watch... HAHA. Do you think my Grindr date actually tried to kill me? Let me know your thoughts and if you think I'm being overdramatic. Anyways coming out as gay has taught me so much and being aware of your surroundings on dates and meeting people is very important so please be careful!! OKAY! I'll see you soon :)

I've met ppl on grindr and never had a problem either going to their house or their coming to mine. Only one guy didn't look like his photo when he came to my house and I was frank that I wasn't attracted to him and that he had to leave. He was surprised, but he left.

I am glad you made it out safely Matt. That was beyond messed up and scary. You were smart to think to get out. Those red flags were warnings. I am glad you headed that warning. Everyone should be careful using and getting on the apps. You never know who is out there and what you can come ion contact with. Personal safety is indeed key.

@@mattmaguire18 I recall when I used to meet online and all too often we go so boldly to meet someone and forgetting all about the safety first factors. The only person that cares about your safety and well being is you. The sad part is the meet up never turns out the way it it should be. I do not know why people feel the need to lie or misrepresent themselves. You know what to do and you stated you do not do that anymore any way. Please take care Matt.

I have some and I deleted them all from the memory files. Grindr was really the only place to find gay men back then. Like there is a bunch of little versions of me in my brain deleting all the Grindr memory files, though I have made friends off there. 😂

I hear all these horrible stories about Grindr. When I lived in Long Beach California and was on the app I literally met 100's of guys and only had a small number of bad experiences.

You were completely right for trusting your gut. This whole thing sounds sus as hell. I would have been freaking out. As for a Grindr horror story I do have a couple but the worst one is a story kinda similar to this. I was 18 and me and a guy I had been talking to for a year arranged for him to pick me up and take me to his place for me to lose my virginity. We ended up at this abandoned house where he a a couple of his friends ended up gang raping me. I had a bad feeling the whole drive but I couldn't really do anything since I was in the car with him and he was my ride. The lesson of the day is trust your instincts.

Hi Matt, Glad you liked my comment, I could feel the fear and panic rising in myself as you told your story. I said "Always trust your instincts" for a reason. As a young/teenage gay man in Western MT looking for sex and affection, it was dangerous "cruising" the cowboys and lumberjacks back in the 1970's. My instincts/gut feelings saved my skin more times than I can count, and I suspect NH today harbors some of the same bias, bigotry and threatening danger I faced. Your "Pharmacist" may l have been a "good O' boy" with a buddy who for kicks liked to entrap gay men and beat the "you-know-what" out of them. Everyone, be careful, be safe wherever you are, at a meet-up, a bar, in bed or out to lunch. Be situationally aware of your surroundings at all times, even in cities like SF, LA, NYC, Boston, or Ft. Lauderdale, there are weirdos who prey on others for whatever reason. Keep your instincts honed, even when you're an "old geezer" like me and my husband. A long, safe and happy life to you and the ones you love. Peace and Love.

Thanks for sharing your story! I completely understand where you’re coming from. Your gut instinct won’t lie to you! I can imagine how hard it was back then, thankfully I don’t experience anything even close to that but it’s important to know!

@@mattmaguire18 Hey Matt, most of those guys were lonely as hell, on what is now called "the Down - Low". I only had a few really scary, bad experiences, but either I had good instincts or a "Guardian Angel" who lost lots of feathers in the line of duty. 😇 It's been great touching base, you have a wonderful, fun and productive life. The backpacking in Europe, even with your mom, that sounds fantastic, keep it up, life is a wonderous adventure. At this time of night on a Saturday, hopefully you are out having fun and if you haven't already, may you find your Mister Right, but remember, don't keep looking for Prince Charming, Mister Right is "the Prize", he may not be rich, he may be your complete opposite, only you will know who Mister Right is for you. Mine came along some 44 years ago, may you be as fortunate. Have a good night and a good life.

Ohh plsss 💀 i had so many i couldnt even count. Very similar like I’ve almost got thrown out in the middle of the desert lmaooo it’s been a year or two since i quit dating apps and never been healthier. I had so much to heal to get over the damages this app brought me so im definitely not coming back 😂maybe i need to create a channel too for my story time in the future
