Screw the music! The engine is part of the experience. Need a massage chair to add the vibrations and fan blowing 50mph winds. Lol Thanks for the ride mr. God speed

I always look at Gyrocopters and tell myself I must try one , then reality rears its head and I look at the figures for accidents per hour and say no. I will stick to being a granny flyer and live longer. Just as a compliment this is one of the best videos I have seen , safe flying.

the key is to find an excellent instructor. At the club I learned to fly in I was involved there actively for years and never saw a single blade bent. Another club I was involved with I saw a lot of machines bent. It comes down to quality of instruction.

What is a granny flyer?

Do you have some resources you could recommend? Manuals, Channels?

@@CS-ox9hn usually a pilot with the reputation of being a very safe flyer, someone you would trust to fly without taking any risks. I had this reputation and was proud of it, there were many younger pilots that were more skilful than me but I am alive and unfortunately many of them are not. There are old pilots and then there are bold pilots, guess which there are most of.

великолепно, это хорошо, когда сбывается то, о чём мечтал, как говорится - терпенье и труд, всё перетрут.

Put this autogyro rotor on a Jetson electric drone and add a ballistic parachute and I'll be good with taking a ride. Add an airbag-like inflatable protective suit for the pilot and I'll be even happier to join the birds in flight.

I like how it stops so quickly
@cameronlapworth2284 Жыл бұрын
Yes the rotor tilts in every direction its always flying slightly back into wind (opposite of a helicopter). When you land you pull the rotors full back and now all that lift and stored energy is pointing behind you so you can stop in very short distances which in a engine out situation is really good as you might be landing on unprepared ground.

If you approach the "stall" speed does application of power stop it?
@rotorfly072 жыл бұрын
the gyroplane has no stall speed, this is one of its advantages
@cameronlapworth2284 Жыл бұрын
I'll expand on rotorfly07's answer. Yes you cannot stall but you can get behind the power curve. Power and controlling attitude can both help. However more attitude than power unless you have masses of power you'll need to lower the nose. It won't stall but it can mush into the ground. Proper training stops this. You can also descend vertically at about the same speed as a parachute in full control, this is often used to lose height without moving your position over the ground. Very cool.

The visual is great, I wish I could hear what you were thinking, maybe music, And less engine . It really looks like fun
@daviousmaximus64462 жыл бұрын
I actually like hearing the engine to relate power settings to what is going on.
