Agree, if you ride AT ALL you’re a real biker. Most people are scared to death to even ride passenger let alone ride. We gotta stick together and get more bikes on the road. There’s definitely different levels of “hardcore biker” but if you ride your own…you’re a real biker

Native Floridian here, buy a zip up 1-2 mil wetsuit jacket, put it on over your base layer then layer up as needed….you can shed as the day warms & still get that leather jacket warmth. It also helps keep you warm on a rainy day in summer

Be glade that you aren’t home today, it’s like stepping out into a freezer at like 6 degrees this morning and 17 now. At least next week it’s going to be in the 40’s on Friday and rain and melt the snow to make room for more. 🥶. I did see that someone in Columbus rode their motorcycle to work on Wed when it was like 9 degrees out. I would love to have 65 right now.

I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale. I the 50's my High School buddy got the First Harley Sportster & we rode everywhere, no helmets, no passenger seat, a book rack to sit and hold on. I enjoy your rides.😊❤👍🌹🌹

I know what you mean about the heated gear. 1 year we went to Sturgis for the rally in august. From there we went to Yellowstone. Woke up in Jackson hole , Wyoming it was 36 degrees and never thought to bring my heated gear. Now I never leave my house without my heated jacket somewhere on my bike . #live&learn

Western NC or Eastern TN might be a good place to look to open something up. Lots of bikers down in these areas.

Western NC or SC. Arkansas all great places to ride and camp on your bike. NC has a couple of places already around Cherokee but every place is different.. different vibes or themes

as a northerner that relocated to FL.... dont judge this weather on a normal snowbird season. its been a little cooler than usual but as you have seen its still mid 60s most winter days..

its to icy in tennessee to go for a ride, watching your vloggs helps me when I cant. simliar to a phantom pain, just being on my bike puts me a total peace better than any other form of therapy. crazy how riding a motorcycle does that!

Nice video Jess. I love that knife. I have been wanting to make my own knife for quite awhile. I built a homemade forge out of an ammo can and many other steps. Never got one to look as nice as yours. God bless, ride safe.

I have a bagger and a Softail standard. Last year I put more miles on the Softail than the bagger even with the couple of trips I took on the bagger. It's so easy to ride the Softail in the mountains and twisties, I get a bigger thrill out of it. Do what makes you happy.

Trailer if you want. It's not like you don't ride WAY more than most people. And you have nothing to prove to anyone else. Trailering makes sense for some trips, too. Like your trip to FL. So... eff them lewzers! It's been rainy here in California. I could have got out today, there was a window of no rain in the morning, but I didnt' sleep well and was groggy, so I stayed home. I'll ride in pouring rain and such when I need to, but I really don't want to in the Santa Cruz Mountains for a day ride. However, riding afterwards when it's still wet and stuff's all over the road is known around these parts as a True Grit ride. It's good practice and of course, done at a lower pace. I've been bit by leaving cold weather gear home on a big trip before. I paid dearly for that mistake, too. I am glad you didn't die in the night ride back to camp. Dying sucks. No Stars. Would not do again. Knife name suggestion: Wilbur.

I'm in South Dakota, and 60F in the spring is like a heatwave. 60F near the end of riding season feels cold. We get acclimated to the weather, but some people on the internet wanna flex and judge people on trivial bullshit.

Jess it may be time to upgrade your lighting on the Dyna. Not being able to see at night just because its dark outside isn't an excuse anymore. There're many great lighting options that can light it up like daytime out there. May make some great content as well for the channel. Plus the safety aspect!

Is it reasonable and what part of Florida is it in campgrounds are getting so expensive it anymore, closer to the price of hotels

Ya know kido (yes i still use that turm lol) what i cant figuer out is from the wast up you have all your coverings to keep your core warm great, but you only seem to have one layer for your bottom half ..doesnt your legs get really cold,?

They do, but i’m fine if my legs are cold. I can’t function if my torso, hands/ feet and neck are cold.

Each trip has its own logistics. We are planning a trip getting a rental house 2,500 miles away. We want around 6 days there. Probably going to fly and rent. Or 10 days trailering to and from

Great idea about the life insurance! Don't wait until you're too old to get it. Some policies acquire equity which is a great investment especially if you don't have an employee-sponsored 401k. I have a small employee-sponsored life insurance but I know so many folks do not have employee-sponsored benefits so for you and Jordan, I think it's a great idea and overlooked by many young people. My ex has an independent policy that builds equity that is cash out for her so she's not always borrowing my money, haha. Looks like I'll be borrowing from her in the future. :) Your hair looks great, by the way. :)

I don’t know that I could think of a better way to go out, than on my motorcycle. If that’s how I go then I went doing something I truly love and I was in my happy place when I went. To me that’s not tragic. That’s a Legacy.

This winter has been colder here in Dallas as well. I've been on my bike below freezing more this year, so far, than I have in the rest of my life. I finally got the heated grip thing, kinda wish I had them hahahaha. I don't like riding below freezing because you never know where you might find a frozen puddle or something. The cold isn't too bad, I haven't even put thermal under drawers on yet. Seems like my chaps and leather jacket with a hoodie under it has been good down to about 28f. It starts to get a little cold around there, oh and I really don't like my full faced helmet. I have a nice LS2 but I'm so used to a half helmet that it feels heavy. I do need better winter gloves though if anyone has recommendations.

When I was teaching my son how to drive, I took him to a busy intersection and told him to count the number of distracted drivers. Less than 20% of the drivers were not distracted. I have seen people crash into semi-trucks. They are not going to see a motorcycle.
