5/7/22 in Ontario, California I'm the Asian dude with the camo shorts. The ref stopped the fight after the first round and I was awarded the victory. On to the next...

other dude was shelled up the whole time, your posture is tall and confident. I don’t know anything at all about fighting but your performance says a lot

just curious bro, do you know how they do matchmaking? I signed up for my first IFK fight for this april, and I've been training muay thai for about 6 months. Also how do you know you are ready to compete? I want to perform well that's why
@kevjz5891 Жыл бұрын
They match you by experience and weight, so you’ll most likely be matched with someone new as well. As to the second question, I think you signing up just shows that you’re “ready,” at least mentally. If you want to perform well you have to push yourself during training. My old coach used to say, you fight how you train. If you take yourself to that place mentally in training, the discomfort during the fight will be “familiar” in a way. Just remember, if you give yourself an out during training, you are only f***ing yourself at the end. You got this dude

Best of luck man. I also just signed up for IKF in April after 6 months of training. I’ll be at Sunnyvale, CA

@@kevjz5891Do they also match by age along with weight and experience? For instance someone who is 45 years old, 200lbs, with three years of experience.

How’d you end up doing bro? I got mine this Saturday. Been training for 5 months. Cut weight from 219lbs down to 178lbs and train like 4-6 hours a week. I’m MAD nervous but excited as shit.

@@ToughLuckCujoThat's one hell of a cut from 219 to 178. I got my fight coming up on the 23rd. I'm going to be fighting at 195ish. Nervous, scared, and excited. Training is pretty intense and I'm just trying not to get hurt before the tournament. Knees are hurting but I'll be alright.

What happens if you KO the opponent?
@TheDennybill Жыл бұрын
It would be a disqualification since it is point muay thai rules

If its off technique or if your opponent leans his head as you kick something like that its ok... but if your swinging for the fences then its a DQ. Refs to try stop it and tell a fighter to tone it down if they are acting a fool.
