Honestly though, this is a great little lesson here for pilots in how quickly an uneventful flight can turn tragic. Notice how fast the ice builds to dangerous amounts. And how he then lost situational awareness looking for the de-icing switches, taking his eyes off his instruments for a split second while in IFR conditions. You can see the mountain approaching on his instruments before impact. But yeah, a quickly devolving icing situation + split second loss of situation awareness can become deadly in less than a minute. Suddenly mountain.

I was actually surprised to find out that Ice on the aircraft actually does make you fall right out the sky. It's a good realism that FS 2020 touches on.

2:45 there's a similar glitch to that in Melbourne, Australia. A 230 story apartment building that goes absurdly higher that the rest of the skyline. It's has been called the Melbourne monolith. Might have been fixed in recent patches though

That icing was fantastic though, very realistic. Ice has the ability to bring any aircraft down catastrophically. The combined weight of ice, with loss of lift generating airflow is a recipe for disaster.

As a real-world turboprop driver, I can reiterate that a bit of window slushie should get your attention. Ice plus power levers firewalled means that death is catching up with you very quickly!
