Taking a look at a Polar G2 plus outside gasification wood stove with Travis and Mel near Stonewall Manitoba. Travis and Mel are also involved in Firewood sales and the farming industry.

Polar G2 Gasifiers and Portage & Main conventional wood boilers are simply the best design and are made with high quality material. I am very pleased with my Portage & Main Ultimizer, noticeably more efficient.

Thanks for making this video! My empyre owb is approaching 20 years of use so I'm starting to do some research for when it comes time for replacement. Glad to hear I'm not the only one hitting the 20 cord per year mark!!

Thanx for the comment Andrewt. So far I'm happy with the polar I purchased but its still fall so no real cold temps....I'm feeling bad for wanting some -25 to see how she performs LOL

One of the best on the market. I Service ,repair, and rebuilt the top brands and I have had not weld call outs to fix a leaky palor stove. Easy to clean and thickness of fire box is good . The fan is well above the quality of any other brand I serves. Definitely better choice over other brands for cost and reliability.

Do you think this is much better than central boiler's new models or is it a close call?
@facediaper46072 жыл бұрын
@@marblemill way way way better... when they still have dozens getting sent back for whole welded walls failing. They cut to many corners and you the customer will eat the cost.. where polar hasn't changed in years... I have yet to do a repair on one.. where I do dozens of central boiler a year old and new

Probably the best video on explanation of this boiler. My neighbor has one for sale for $8,000 that has never been used. My boiler I use right now is not gasification and loves to be fed wood.

That looks very cool and everything, but just so complicated...so many things to go wrong. Every time I see stoves like this, it makes me more committed to having a masonry stove built into our retirement home.

I hear you Jason. OWB really shine when heating several buildings along with not effecting you're insurance but there is nothing like the heat given off by an inside wood stove

P&M and polar are the same company now? They are the same company that made wood doctor…….?
@curriecountryliving2 жыл бұрын
Kinda like Chevy and GMC ? Im not entirely sure either. I can tell you they are both built out of the Piney Hutterite Colony here in southern Manitoba. You can see their facility in Video 15 I published . Thanx for the comment

Changed that as you are correct....althou I hope never to have the water actually boil

There crap. I have a G3. The springs stick period. We burn 10 cords a year. The problem is there boiler btuh are incorrect. My G3 is producing 110,000 btuh. The steel they used was curved and welded at top which made the metal paper thin. I guarantee the stainless steel has the same problem. It will leak. The company that used to make these no longer exists. It’s a guy welding them in the shop. If you want other comments or concern let me know. But save your money stay away

Please let me know what for problems do you have? Are you burning dry wood?

@Augerman Drain Cleaning I have seasoned wood which I cut and split January 2021... so it's almost one year still have around 25% moisture....(poplar wood) I hope I will have not so much issues! But thx for your response 👍 It's not much on you tube about those stoves from polar!!

Sorry to hear about your problems Derek. How old is your boiler? The Polar G2 I bought was built at Piney Manitoba this year by a Hutterite Colony. I seen there manufacturing plant and was a nice set up.

@@curriecountryliving Are you happy with your boiler? What happens if you burn wood around 27% humidity poplar??
@curriecountryliving2 жыл бұрын
@@alexmendel641 Ive only been burning with it for about 2 months Alex. I have found there is a learning curve having come from a conventional to a gasification unit, My poplar is under 15% and burns well so can't comment on higher moisture wood yet
