it's all working very strange, the fps lock really helps and the game feels a lot smoother, on my 6600, I tried ultra settings first at 1080p, it was showing 30-35fps. with FSR 3 on the preset quality + frame generation, fps increased to +-90. At first it didn't feel like 90, but when I'm locking it to 80-85, it became really smooth. if we talk about input lag, yes, it is there, but I wouldn't say that I really feel it strongly, the picture quality on a 23-inch 1080p monitor has not become critically worse either, it looks as if the game is rendered in a slightly lower resolution than 1080p. Overall, I liked it, and this is just AMD's first attempts in this direction of frame gen.

Sadly with forspoken the demo does have fsr 3 but no fg which kinda sucks cause I have a somewhat okay gpu but wanted to test how dumb it would act if I was to do it. But the demo doesn't want you to be able to test it lol.

Is the in-game fps lock work? Or i need to use rtss or radeon chill?

The amd blog also mentioned a couple of other settings to make sure were off inside hyper-rx / adrenaline too. I think boost was a setting to turn off.

Turning on Vsync does felt smoother after turning on FG. Not turning on Vsync with FG will feel like FG is not even enabled. Using the built-in refresh rate counter of my monitor, VRR definitely works without FG with FG it kinda does? Turning on Vsync locks my monitor at its max but it definitely feels smoother as I said in my first sentence. Maybe my monitor's just whack in its counter.

Sorry but if the refresh rate is higher than the max fps you can get in the game how can it be done ?

You can already have Fluid Motion Frames in your RX 7000 Series driver, , you can turn it on in all your games ( DirectX 11 and 12 games )

@@XMoldyMe it literally does not make the game smoother if you move your mouse fast, (which you do most of the time in games) frame gen gets disabled and does not add an fps boost when you move your mouse fast.

I guess it is hard to do because of the much older GPUs that FSR supports. If it was like Nvidia and was locked in the latest cards, I think they would flawlessly match DLSS.

Wouldn't fsr3 on the steamdeck with the low settings and low resolutions it needs to play at make every game look so bad it's literally unplayable? Also bit hard for him to test a feature in a game that doesn't support it.

@@slayerr4365 You have to wait for the new Linux graphic drivers for steam deck and then we will see, so far the game crashes with FSR 3, but on ROG ALLY it works "great"

​@@slayerr4365 I was thinking the same with cyberpunk 2077 atm with fsr 2, as fsr 3 still going to be heavily depend on fsr 2, but does play well and looks really good 30 to 40 fps. As for Frame Gen stuff still be abit until AMD drops the open drivers, I seen videos with the another game with fsr 3 FG supported but seem like it's not working at all.

No card will work worse at lower resolutions vs higher resolutions, better is better, nothing to worry about :)

I got a 43' LG 4K TV for 300€ used back in 2018 😎😎 quality's not the best and it's not even full 4K (because of the pixel structure) but I still love the experience.

It probably feels smoother because rendering queue is lower without frame generation and base performance is probably a bit higher so input latency is lower without FG. On top of it, if FG requires FSR TAA to be enabled, that is another drawback since FSR TAA is most likely worse than TAA already in game, especially because both nvidia and AMD can inject sharpening thru drivers if sharpening is missing in options.

They probably didnt hire any competent art directors and art people in genera. Just ai generated the shit out of it because thats how it looks. On second though even ai could make more cohesive graphics than this mess.

Indeed, at 720p with Ultra Performance upscaling on an RTX 3050 I can drop to 55 FPS with that fire circle spell (and no, I was not limited by the CPU, I had 96 percent GPU usage), unbelievable... now I know that the 3050 is not a great GPU but come on, we have games that look and run better than this at native 1080p. edit: and to make this worse, I was using low settings, not high.

This mini PC has an option for it in the bios. Some don't. It doesn't make thaaat much of a difference in most games though, since the IGPU will use system RAM as VRAM when it runs out of the allocated VRAM and it's already using system RAM to start with. But it's a nice thing to have, a couple of games do take advantage of it.

Just by the 1 Forspoken sample, I'd say it's really similar. But this isn't good looking even at native res without using AA... gotta wait for it to release in cyberpunk and starfield to take a better look
