I've manage to be able to work with all the pro X versions since X1. Usually the worst bugs are fix within a month or two of the release. X8 doesn't have anything revolutionnairy, but It works nicely. They are already working on a new version (possibly X9) so it kindy means X8 is stable ;)

I think they're trying. But plugin makers codes aren't always well done. In fact, I think it would be the plugin maker's responsability to make sure it is compatible with every daws.. no ?

@@MarcoPrimeau I switched from samplitude pro x 7 to ableton live 11 and it has been huge improvment for me ableton just sounds better to me but i make electronic music like house and techno and i always struggled with automation and vst3 instruments and with a lot of tracks it was imposible to master a track in the same session i had to bounce my project to audiofile and then master it what i dont have to do with ableton generally samplitude is good daw but not for edm producers.

@@TomDry Samplitude is more oriented to recording,. Sample manipulation is not its best force. In my case I mostly record accoustic instruments, that's why I like it ;)

Until the first update or 2, I'd keep the last 2 versions. In my case I get questions on older ones so I still have X4-5-6-7 installed ;)

@@AmbiguousMotion they actually did lots of changes to catch up with Reaper, "value" lies in ability to still open projects previously worked on

The quickest way is to export to wave file and then import the file in the project if you want it as a reference. Or you can add a new track and choose the input go to tracks and choose what you want to record track buss or master then record in realtime.

I did that and it worked well however, it creates more VIP's in Sam that do not allow Mastering. It also put the file where I told it and then I created a new VIP and Mastered it. I miss the old way to Bounce...

@@0708pablo You need to change the option where it says, "After export :" Set it to no action... What I normally do is export every song to single stereo files, then create a new VIP in which I inport ever song of the album in a row.. then you can apply mastering plugins to the whole album while making slight changes to each song's object.

What I didn't know is if all the drum instrument names were already there in old version. :)

@@kgmobilestudios I'm recording music and not producing films. Since nothing I do will end up in a theartor and very few people has a dolby Atmos listening system at home, I can't justify spending money and time on this new technology. There is was a wave of 24bit audio recording which were sold many years ago and the format didn't stick, I'll wait and see what happen to Atmos... ;)

You just want the skin mondernized? LOL

Long time users like me are used to the current skin. I personally don't need any modern skin, I need useful new features. 😊

I think there is still third party skins you can buy.. but I don't see the point of making it different. You might want to simplify the GUI, but it would only hide so many features we can access easily now..

Tell me about it, I'm still on version 4 suite and still haven't seen a reason to upgrade, in fact I use the free cakewalk more then Samplitude. I really with they would've worked on independence sampler... as it is they should just let us use that as a plugin in whatever daw we want, or get an independent license for it for around $50 or something.
