I’ve had a few mma fights (very early mma), several kickboxing, boxing, and bjj matches. I understand the feelings you had very well. I saw a flash like that when I got knocked out (only one time, at least), but the feeling you get when you win, or even survive in some cases, is unbelievable. It’s not dominance for me, it’s more overcoming and pushing myself. Thanks for the video/experience, man. You helped me relive my youth a bit…lol.

Bro! This video was so good. It brought back memories for me for sure. Like a million years ago before MMA was a thing or BJJ was even on the radar in the US, I used to "fight" in karate tournaments - it was more like high speed tag with hittsies. But anyway, I remember one tournament where I actually fought with Pat Smith (old school UFC fighter) in the Grand Champion round. I think I won middle weight or something. Pat knocked me on my ass when he hit me in the head, and I have video (VHS no less) with my mom screaming, "My baby!" I was like 26... Ha. But I actually won on points after a wheel kick to the head that rang Pat's bell. Good times! Thanks for bringing back the memories my brother!

Awesome story and congrats on your win. I use to box and before that I punched a bully in high school. We were in the main office with him standing in front of the doorway. The impact of my punch knocked him out of the doorway and into the hallway. That was fun and he had it coming. Even the teachers were happy about me teaching him a lesson. On a side note, I finally got promoted to my blue belt after training bjj on and off for several years. The beatings paid off.

Nice dude. I took my First MMA Fight on 2 months notice with no grappling experience other than the 2 month fight camp. I was the only amateur fight to go past the first rounds. After that I lost pretty much the way you beat your opponent. However I was hooked oddly enough the guy I thought was more of a Muay Thai Fighter, and my grappling was better than his I just gassed out. So I decided to take 5 thai fights in the span of 2 years to better my striking with 3 jits comps. This past year I've been really working on my boxing and back to my grappling. So I can step in the cage once more

Just had my first NAGA tournament yesterday. I signed up for a 0-6 month white belt skill group, as I've only been training for 2 weeks and I'm rather strong for my weight class. Apparently I was the only one who showed up for the 0-6 months experience division, so I was moved to the 6 month to 2 year bracket. Got absolutely dumped on by 3 white belts who all had over a year and a half experience, and one that got promoted to blue belt after the tournament. Learned a lot though.
