If you need power use a jackery. That’s what I use. I print my order, then pick, weight, pack, and ship

When I forget to add a custom sku, I look at the date I listed it and then find other items I listed on the same day to see where those were stored.

Well done!!! I imagine a shelf read would be a good idea - you may even find a book or bundle that fell off your store. Focus on one shelf a day - you will be through your store in no time. Wish I lived near you - I love that OCD kinda stuff 😊

I'm afraid of burnout and physical issues. Hire a 20-year-old. I don't think this intensity level is sustainable. I guess it depends how long you plan on being in the game, but I think you have a sweet thing going on that you should never jeopardize. You're in a warehouse. Hire some young person for a few hours. You still have all those boxes to do something with (what's in them?), you need to go through your entire stock and maybe change stuff so you don't have to back out of rows, so why not? You're reaching, bending, lifting, over and over. WE see it! I bet you will love having help for a liitle while per day!

Go Mel! You are a super star! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 You’ve done an amazing job adjusting to this new environment, and to do it with minimal mistakes is commendable. For the top shelves, could you store the books vertically (standing up)? I know you’ve said before it doesn’t maximise your space, but for the top shelves, this might help and make it safer for you. I do this for my books, and use some thin metal bookends from Kmart either end. Keep up the fab work. Kate ❤

We are not getting any younger so you would get a bigger screen to see what you are picking and bigger photos and then you wouldn't need to use your phone for that.

Mel, moving is a chore, especially when things don't transition smoothly. I'm hoping all gets settled well soon. I have had a burning question since the new warehouse, and even more, watching you pick orders. You shuffle book piles a lot. With the new space, what if you worked at changing the shelf setup so you could access the books from both sides instead of one side? That way the spines face the isle on both sides and you won't have to move piles for the books at the back. Instead, the spines face out and the inner edges face each other. Does that make sense to you?

Looking great 👍 you need a web cam on a headband .. can you attach a ladder to your cart! Omg talk about keeping fit! You need to hire a kid to pull for you 😂 It won’t be as bad when you ship daily it’s just now catching up.. oh I wish I could help you .. 😂 I would need to double check the address to the order! I did it your way when I first started and had 6 items go to the wrong people 😱 you need shipping bags on a cart .. you can’t lift or a back brace! 🙏

Unless you're using your phone for videoing going up and down the aisles, you can get a phone mount for a bike you can attach to the cart. Would having your phone right there attached to your cart with the screen right in front of you help?

Congratulations on getting that done with only one missing book. I have a 1 foot tall stool that rolls around until you step on it and then it becomes sable and immobile. Maybe somehting like that could be attached to your cart and wheeled arougn so you are not on tippy toes. U-Line box company has one, Rolling Step Stool - Red model H-7846R so you can see what I mean.

Why use random SKU numbers instead of a library system? Books are easy to keep organised. I use this system for my main stock, which is graphic novels. Sales Platform > Publisher > Format > Series Title
