I actually live near one of Buster Rhymes homes. I lived 14th Washburn next to Bassett Creek. Along Bassett Creek, on the other side of Plymouth Ave. There is a string of huge homes of retired Vikings players. Best Trick or Treating. Oprah actually had a home on the otherside on a hill near Golden Valley Rd. They lifted the house, so it could get a clear view of the Theodore Wirth golf course, pass the Creek. There was a few low profile millionaires in the area. This one rich guy used to show off his, literal, Musket and fire it towards the Creek. This was the 90s btw. So, he wasnt that creepy... Also, the golf course, was where they filmed some of the scenes from the Mighty Ducks. Low income area... They don't make them like they used to.

No offense but nobody cared about the CFL. He only went there because he messed up to many times in the nfl and they were done giving him chances. So he went north hoping to do good and show that was all behind him and that he can do good on the field and his private life wouldn't get in the way anymore. Problem was. That didn't happen that way he kept getting in trouble even up there and by that time. He was too old and lost a couple of steps to compete in the nfl

George “Buster” Rhymes grew up in Liberty City, an inner city neighborhood of Miami, Florida. He graduated from Miami Northwestern and committed to the University of Oklahoma under coach Barry Switzer in 1980. He was named Dade County's Athlete of the Year for 1979-80. Buster achieved All-American recognition at Oklahoma as a wide receiver. Standing 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) tall and weighing 218 lb (99 kg), Rhymes was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL draft. Rhymes played in two NFL seasons for the Vikings in 1985 and 1986, and in 1985 set an NFL single-season record for kick return yardage with 1,345 yards; the league record has since been broken, but the total stood as a Vikings franchise record until broken by Cordarrelle Patterson in the final game of the 2013 season. Following his NFL stint, Rhymes went to Canada and played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. He spent two seasons there (1988 and 1989), winning a Grey Cup championship ring in 1988.
