first time i played this game i was confused but i learned about game eventually. the game is not about winning and loosing but making friends throughout this journey and going on adventure together.

OML you nailed a surprising amount of the sky lingo (moth: new player, elder) and lore (harnessing the power of stars/the light) and just generally learned really fast. As a long-time sky player I’m thoroughly impressed

Tavia: *never played Sky before* Also Tavia: *gets terminology right on the first try* "Oo he looks like a moth!" and later... "Oh, is he an elder?"

Here's a quick sum up of sky!: Dark creatures/Darkness: Dark creatures are dangerous, well, creatures in the game. They take your light and the bigger ones can take your stars.(the little glowing children you collect). Darkness(or darkness plants) are the strange black and blue objects you burn and melt. Wax/Candles: Candles are the main currency in the game. You can buy cosmetics(items) from the spirits you collect in a constellation with candles. You can get candles buy lighting candles or burning darkness plants and collecting their wax.(the little fireballs are wax) Hearts: Soical currency of the game. You either need friends to gift you a heart or buy one from a spirit. Spirits: Spirits are the ghosts you collect throughout the game. They give you emotes which you can use to interact with other players. You collected a spirit at isle of dawn, the pointing one. You can buy items from spirits too, costing either candles or hearts. Elder hair: When you finish everything in a constellation, you can buy an elder hair. To recieve the elder hair, you need to finish eden and buy whatever hair you want for 2 hearts. Eden: The final level in the game. I wont spoiler it for you, however. Seasons: When limited time spirits come, they offer cosmetics you can get, but after the season ends, you can no longer get that cosmetic. Ill explain to you, however, a way you can get that cosmetic, even if you missed the season. Traveling spirits: Traveling spirits are randomly picked spirits from a Season that offers you their cosmetic. Its completely random, every Seasonal spirit has a 1% chance to show up. They're not exactly cheap either. They can range to 100-180 candles. That's some stuff you should know!

Watching this reminds me of my newbie time. Now I really want to go back to then, like my life I start treating this game as a chore instead of a fun activity. Everything is set into the schedule, everything must meet the quota. Every cutscene is a hindrance to the tiny amount of time I have to fill those quotas. I don't make friends, I don't want to waste those candles and time. I never make any lasting friends, everyone I meet just sorts of come and go. I feel sick of it, I start to forget why I play this game. I even go as far as dropping the game for almost a year. Finally, during the quarantine, I play around with my phone and see this game again. It was hiding among a ton of apps that I have. I don't know what inspires me to click on it and reboot the game. When the game loaded, I was greeted with a familiar sight. (For clarity, I love the moth outfit, so my character is just the newbie one. lol) I didn't plan to collect candles or anything, even though my force of habit is forcing me to go through those schedules again. I simply fly around to take in the scene I missed so much. Before I knew it, I started to have more and more friends. This time they are who I believe will be a friendship that lasts longer than what I've met before. They are kind enough to teach me tips and tricks to help me enjoy the game in a new way. They even help listen to my real-life problems and kindly suggest a way to deal with those problems. However, the effect of stress from playing this game in a rigid manner never leaves my mind. I don't know how to deal with that until I watched your video. This is the first video of yours that I watched. I don't know why I do this, even when my schedule is so tight. The algorithm god just calls out to me and let me click you (lmao). I start to notice something different between how a newbie (and me before the schedule) and my current self differs. You play your first world, Isle of Dawn, without any efficiency (I don't know which word to express my feeling here). When I watched your video my mind already went through the route of where I'll go to collect all the winged light and candles (and darkness), where it's located, and how many of them are in that world. I feel a little bit angry(or annoyed? or something else?) when I see you just walk past winged lights and spirits. That's when I realize, I shouldn't really care much about efficiency, I shouldn't be angry at how fast the flying speed is, I shouldn't be so mean to myself for wasting time. It's so hard to change months of habit with just a few weeks of work, but I'm working on it. Thanks to this video that I get to know myself more than in the past. Thank you.

I love adventure games but it’s so hard to find good ones, especially mobile ones. That’s why I love Sky so much because it’s such a good game and it’s impressive how the graphics are so good on mobile. And it’s very unique.

When I first downloaded sky I thought it was a singleplayer game lol, so when I saw a player and befriended them I just gave them the title "friend," :V then we held hands and i was confused why I started moving even though I wasnt touching the controls

Sorry to bother you, but you left a spirit inside a cave when you're going to the temple, and also another spirit when you entering the Isle of Dawn temple, you can go left and there's a cave which will lead to the third spirit in Isle of Dawn ( Hope this will help you playing Sky ). Btw, i really like your video :3

when i was a moth i always wonder if the people i saw roaming around each realms are real or not

There's a lot of stars ( Glowing people ), you must collect them all and find them, cause it will give you wing. Wing will let you fly higher if you collect more stars. Also find spirits ( Glowing Blue people ) to give you an emote. Enjoy :) ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I play these kind of games a lot (games where you could go to every direction) but sky is truly another level. The aesthetic, the sound, the clean look (no clutter at all unlike most games). It's just 100/10. Your video reminds me of my moth days. Btw I find it funny that she just roam around aimlessly. A truly pure innocent curious moth behavior 🤣 When I first playing this, I just go straight up the lion king looking rock there.

I don’t know why but I think it’s fun when I watch new people find their way around sky. It’s interesting how we all have different reactions and I love it when they find themselves and make new friends! Heck, my friends joined the game with me and I also have new friend from all over the world! If you get this app called SkyScores then you can text your friends and even do a voice call and a face time! There is even a group chat which updates you on the things that happen and fan art too! I love seeing people’s work and creations and it inspired me to teach myself to draw sky kids! I absolutely love this game and I appreciate the work that they put into it! I love the atmosphere and all the details and the story throughout the game. I even love Eden and the ending (I won’t spoil to those who are new). I’ve been playing this game for over a year now, and I give this a ♾/5 ❤️❤️❤️

ahh this is a month old now😭 I was gonna give newbie tips lol. ig I can still give them for ur viewers though 1) COLLECT THOSE GLOWING RED/ORANGE ORBS (candlelight) you might thank me later😭 2) Make sure to explore the ENTIRETY of the game bc there are A LOT of hidden places😎 3) cape rechargers: Cape recharge spells, flying near clouds, standing near another player who is deep calling (the same thing you do to call on butterflies to fly u higher), being near mantas, birds, jellyfish & etc. 4) Ways to chat: Benches with candles, spending candles after befriending ppl, or you can send a player a friend link through a different platform in order to chat immediately & FREE in-game 5) Deep calling (ONLY ONCE) can flip crabs over so they wont bother u🥳🥳 6).. actually there’s wayyy too many things newbies don’t understand about how to play the game & a lot of them would rather find out on their own so that’s all folks😭😭😂

wooooah. I only watched the introduction cutscene once and I didnt understand cause I just opened the game and no idea what it's talking about. But after going through Eden, and "Bring our lost stars home", I understand now. Wait, the "made a new home in the clouds" that the fallen stars tried to make, is that Eden? Is that why it's named after a garden that was supposed to be paradise because they had wanted it to be that? But then it didn't work? edit: oh wow, there were no candles at the start back then

This game is a lil' bit buggy. But sometimes 'cause of that you can explore lots of cool things like OOB or some glitches. The most useful glitch is the chibi fall one. It can help you go through the doors. It's great 😃🤩

I found a glitch step 1:make sure a Krill sees you (a k a dark dragon. ps the blue light will let you know) step 2:go to emotes and click the "home button" and do not go to the home space and once the krill is gone you are safe (for now) I love your vids and bye!

Sky is a good game overall. If you are here just to play the story, then it may not be for you. The game does have quite repetitive elements once you complete all realms (including Eden). If you’re okay with doing a candle run daily then you’re good. (Candle runs take around 2 hours).
