Hi friends!! changing it up this week from the typical bookish content to share my very first reading journal I started for 2024. I did not consider myself a creative person previously, but I have found so much joy in creating these spreads despite the imperfections. I also like different themes on different pages, because it doesn't lock you in to any one style, and it is fun to create. I hear ya on the FL unread books (and maybe other subs...whoops) oooh, I like the dutch doors! I love your Moody page too! Holy shit, your feminine page! 💜💜💜💜 This looks soooo good. I'm glad you decided to give journaling a try. I find it to just be a soothing mental health thing, and it is fun to look back at what I read in the past.

More "eye candy" as you put it in your video 😂 it makes it feel that much more personal and makes me feel more creative.

I discovered reading jounals while I was researching productivity journals this month and became obsessed with them. Have watched so many videos. Started my first reading journal with different themes for each spread. Your ideas are great. I copied and cut out some pages from a Simsimsy reading journal I got off of amazon. I have bad hands, so can't draw alot. Thx for sharing.

DUDE!!!! this is SO good!! Omg I aspire to be as creative as you. 🤩 I love the vibe of all of the spreads, my faves are the title page, the arc tracker, the moody spread (are you kidding me, this is incredible 😍) and divine feminine. So basically I love your whole journal. Amazing job.

Loved your video and spreads, my favorites were the layered pages- the one with the envelopes and the Divine/Feminine pages. I would love to recommend the following Unhinged/Feminine/Woman focused reads: -VOX by Christina Dalcher -Copycat by Kimberla Lawson Roby -The Wives by Tarryn Fisher -A Recipe for the Perfect Wife by Karma Brown Romance recommendation: The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle Rebecca Serle writes romance novels with magical realism - I've read 3 of her books and have enjoyed them all but The Dinner List was extra special. Happy reading and journaling! 😊

Thank you so much 🥰🥰 You have to do what is sustainable for you, so if one day is all you can give it, that's still amazing!! Especially when there's kids in the mix, whatever time you can get for just yourself or your hobbies is an accomplishment!! I also have the "too much" gene and get way hyperfixated on stuff and need to do the most and buy all the fancy stuff for said hobby 😂😂 I actually held myself back from doing more and trying to make it more sustainable so I don't burn out immediately

@@WickedScorpio yeah, I need to do stickers nowadays instead of actual illustrations because otherwise I’ll quit. I’ll still use it (at least until it gets warm outside) daily, but I rush my setup before I lose momentum. But I totally get the hyperfixation - I’m right there with you. 💛

I'm going to try to share my monthly spread set ups, but im just trying to figure out if it should be a video on its own or include it in a tbr vid, or something else. That's such a great idea for the series tracker. I will definitely try to find some paper or stickers to give it a little more going on

This is amazing for a first journal!! That divine feminine page is sooo good. I'm still setting mine up for this year, but some of the things I've learned (which really is just personal preference) were: -Each moth I made spreads for 4+ star books, but realized I was just mimicking making Pinterest boards so I started losing interest in doing this "physically". I want to keep each month more short and simple now. -I got sucked into buying lots of "stuff" (ephemera, paper, stickers, etc.) and felt like it was getting too "scrapbooky". I'm planning to lean more into drawing and less cut and paste. -Anything that required daily tracking was completely not sustainable for me lol -I want to experiment more with "physical" crafting like dutch doors, pockets, etc. Can't wait to see how your journal evolves throughout the year!

Thank you so much!! Ooo yes I love hearing what type of spreads worked for people and which ones didn't. I may do one page each month for my fav book if it was a 5 star, but I'll feel it out each month. I don't have digital pinterest boards so that would be it for me. Tori from toribetween pages uses much less supplies. Mostly just markers and stickers do def check her out for that inspiration. I have the "too much" gene and totally bought too much 😅 Will you be posting yours?? I would LOVE to see it 💗

Thanks! I just ordered sticker printer paper off Amazon and use it in my printer like normal sheets. I make a Google doc with the book covers and print from there :)
