I haven't been to a hair salon in 9 years! Not having to do my own hair was such a treat for me. I probably won't make a habit out of this but, I do look forward to going more often. When was the last time you sat down for a loc retwist?

Micro or sister locs would probably be best for you then.

She used their "Nappstar retwist gel" I liked it but what I really LOVED was their oil. She used the peppermint oil on my hair.

So glad it went well. She did a great job. Glad to hear how to keep the coil at the end. Like yours mine does the same and I love it! I agree the price wasn’t bad. I have heard most say it’s best to color prior to locing. Did she happen to say anything about that? You probably didn’t ask given your hair is already dyed. What about deep conditioning? Is that something you continue to do in the later stage? I want to color mine as well, but not sure rather to color before locing, or if it matters. It seems before would be better and probably take better then when the hair is loced. I will definitely by asking at my consultation. Thanks for sharing your experience!!☺️

She did say that it was smart to color before locing and that I shouldn't deep condition right now. You should definitely ask your stylist about your hair though! 🤎

@@JoyNavon That is definitely one of the questions I have. It makes sense to do it prior, to make sure you rinse everything out vs. doing it with locs. I know there is no one size fits all! Thanks for getting back to me!😄

I have starter coils and am due for my 1st return to the salon. I going to get it interlock, I was told I should not get it wet until its locked. Will it be washed after its been locked, it itchy?🦋
