@PhatArtz LOL the gopro view makes it look like you go faster. Yep I have a GG '05 EC300 too and have just had the suspension rebuilt and revalved. Wow what a difference it has made, I wouldn't change it for anything now.

@kakkukaala the carb is normally aspirated, the idle jet is still feeding in premix, there is enough oil loaded up in the crank for the short times it is in decelleration. We are not talking about a 7 mile downhill run with no throttle on. This is normal riding when in bush to ensure smooth riding and maximum traction, we are not on a WOT motorcross track. I am not sure what happens when fuel injected 2T mx bikes comes in, but I am sure they will have a low idle jet fuel injection too.

@PhatArtz Different power delivery. Very flat, linear and didn't seem to have any extreme curve at the topend. Clutch doesn't feel as plush as the GG. A mongrel to start the thing, felt like the kicker grabbed too early so you couldn't get your full weight onto it. I didn't like where the footbrake was located...could never find it when you needed it. It felt taller than the GG and I kept riding it off the track. Mostly setup issues tho. Once you get used to it prob a sweet bike.

@PhatArtz I'm 5'9 with stuffed knees so yep I have the same problem with tall bikes. I def prefer the GG over the Husky. My mate has a 2010 with Sachs setup, frame wise there is not much difference. The techy who setup my suspension said the Ohlins/Zock setup is better and on our model has a longer stroke Ohlins which is less harsh than the newer shock they use = plusher. You can get a electric kit for around $US900, not sure if that covers our model tho.

@xxxvr Thanks for that mate, looks pretty good but for some reason it says you will need a new seat and rear fender...weird :/

@PhatArtz yup the seat has a hollow in the plastic moulding so a battery can fit snug under the seat in the airbox area...maybe there is a scoop in the rear fender for it too. You could do away with getting them but you'd still have to find somewhere to locate the battery. In a forum some-one claimed it felt stronger than the KTM lekky leg, cranking his bike over and starting straightaway. No evidence backing the claim tho.

Wow dude, you had some serious pace on in that single track section! I have an 05 Gasgas 300 and I love it, it would take a lot for me to get off that thing for anything else :)

@xxxvr Interesting. I have sat on them in a shop but they feel really tall to me, and Im not, lol! I think Im gonna splash out on a 2012 GG300 with electric start, unless I can find someone with a 2011 at a run out price :) My mate has a 2011 and its awesome. Only subtle differences to the 05 but that electric start is worth its weight in gold I reckon!

@spazmoso It has a very linear torque curve, no real surprises through the range. This one felt like it had a slightly too large a pilot jet which I hear they do straight out of the factory. Maybe when it's leaned out a bit it might gain some wildness. This model behaves more like a 4T, good in the midrange. In comparison the KTM300 is wild in angry mode. Even tho it's easier to ride in the bush than an MX to get a broader range of the throttle it's still better to ride 'a gear up'

@xxxvr YEs, its incredible how much difference it makes getting it set up for your weight etc. They are such a great bike though, I love the motor, loads of power! How did the Husky compare?

@xxxvr Ahh, I see, interesting. Sounds like a fair bit of work but as I am getting older now and less flexible, and not exactly tall to begin with, getting my leg up high to kick the bike over is getting harder, especially when Im tired! A mate of mine has the 2011 bike with e start and Ive ridden it a few times, and its awesome, much better than the KTM one! Not enough other differences in the bike to make me want to upgrade though! Do you know if this is a factory leg, or aftermarket?

No, the kickstarter is on the right side of the bike as you sit on it.. The old Husaberg models had a left kickstarter though.. :)

@xxxvr i dont understand you... 4-strokes are bikes you can enginebrake? not 2 stroke because there is nothing what lubricates the engine when you engine brake...so what's the problem, use the clutch, it can't be that hard?

@xxxvr Ive just been out on mine again today, playing in the mud, lol! Check my page for some vids. Even though it is 6 years old now, its still a fantastic bike, its so easy to ride! I have been trying to find some info on a kit, $900 US is pretty cheap, thats only about $820 AU at the moment! Do you know where I can get it from, Im pretty sure it will fit cause the differences arent many. $900 is a lot cheaper than a new bike :)

@akakopka1 I guess you ride a big bore 2T to feel expert enough to make a comment like that. And your big bore probably doesn't need a ring job for over 250 hours either!
