Ma'am, why is the income tax deduction so low? I thought it's 10% on salary above 7lakhs/year. Can you explain in details?

Standard deduction 50000 makes the actual deductible salary above 7.5 lac After that there is 27000 (approx) adjustment for sudden taxation in new regime The NPS , CGEGIS, CGHS contribution is deductible from salary so not taxable. Hence, the net salary is73000*12 = 876000 And taxable from 777000. Thus taxable salary is 876000 -777000 = 99000 Per month deduction is 99000/12 = 8333 . Here it is less because she may have filled advance tax form indicating the contributions she would make in PPF, NCS, ULIP, Loans, etc.

Honestly speaking if you are after money, don't go for govt. jobs. I am working in private sector as a freshers and my salary per month is around 1.8 lacs. If you want job security then govt. job is definitely better.

Salary of RBI Grade B is 1,45,000, House rent allowance 70,000 ..etc NABARD grade A salary around 1,15,000 + allowance basic pay 44,000 something 😮
