Yep!!! I agree, I tell ppl all the time the safest books to own are silver age ASM and Batman. Boom!!

Friend of mine had Spider-Man #15-250 all high grade soldto pay for university in 1980 for $900.00.

Good work on your pressing and cleaning. DId you do any interior whitening on those silver age books? Love the shirt btw. I would rock it. Halloween and Friday the 13th movies have been on every night this month on AMC. I've had them on while re-bagging and boarding many of my books.

No interior whitening.. it's extremely risky to even open these books more than just once or twice, to count pages, etc. CGC popped staples on two of these books :( And yeah, I love these shirts that only certain people even notice, good eye!

Asm42 got hit hard by that big color breaking crease. Cgc will slam thr hell out of books like that

Do you confront CGC when they destroy your stuff of is it a occupational hazard in grading....

I haven't yet.. it seems like such a big hassle to complain. I emailed about a couple of minor issues before and got no response. I have never tried calling, though. But yeah... I do treat it as just a risk as part of the hobby

Got that green goblin book but has a scissor cut about 4 inches in the cover. Why anyone do that is crazy. Otherwise it be an 8.0 book

Feel the same way. Love working on the older mid grade books. The results tend to be the best. Bringing life back to these old ones...Btw, if you don't touch the yellow, how do you clean it?

No harsh rubbing. Absorene lightly across the surface works best for me, but if I see any hint of color transfer I stop immediately and just leave the soiling. I've also tried distilled water to lightly clean, but it doesn't really seem to remove anything

@@ImproveCollectingComics Check out Rick at Immaculate Comics (youtube channel), he's a scientist guy that created a cleaning product (Immacuclean), that I use on really filthy comics. Cleans great and won't screw up your submission if you send it it for grading. He actually has a whole ton of inventive ideas that he sells..
