My First Sport Bike ! Aprilia RS660

I must be out of my mind to decide to ride a sport bike for the first time at age 55 !
I decided to buy an Aprilia RS660 and to learn how to ride sport bikes ! Don't get me wrong , I've been riding for more than 35 years on all different types of motorcycles - but never a sport motorcycle.
Here is my first ride with my guys that had no clue I was buying the bike and were totally surprised when I showed up to the ride.

You're definitely not to old. I bought a rs660 as my first bike ever at 37. It's a fantastic bike. I would absolutely do some track days. I did my first track day at 8 months of riding, and my second and 3rd back in June. Awesome time!

You are going to have an absolute BLAST!! This makes power COMPLETELY different than the Harley, all the pull is at 7-8000 rpm which is where the Harley redlines.. 😛. You will be short shifting literally ALL the time. You will also be AMAZED at all the technology that you have been missing out on with the HD and will be asking yourself why HD doesnt add ANY of it considering what they charge for their bikes.....I own 3 HD's, a Ducati, and a BMW...I also see why John bought his BMW...he had sportbike envy!! LOLZ. REally looking forward to watching you grow into this bike!! REally nice that you have a group of guys who encourage you, as my group literally talks smach about anything not HD or INdian...and even on the Indian....

Im a sport bike guy that got into harleys last year, Im really into both of your "OG" channels.. Love your new channel as well, its so nice to see the friendship between you and john going on in this new journey. Keep it up guys enjoy the ride , thanks for bringing us with you along the way🤟🤟🤟😎😎😎

Great choice! My dream is to have the best of every type of bike in my garage! Do you mind creating a video on which other models you considered and how you choose the rs660? Also the buying process?

Really nice bike! I'm also considering the RS660 as my first sport bike. At 44yo, you give me hope it can be done 😂. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? I'm 6'5 and wondering if I could actually fit on the thing. My Aprilia dealer doesn't have one at the moment. Keep those vids coming and ride safe ✌️

I’m 5’10’ but my buddy is 6’3” and sits on it comfortably. It’s considered a big mid sized bike !

Great bike! I have an RS660 and Duke890. Two great bikes, you’ll definitely enjoy it on track and on twisties! Northeast Pa here has some great back roads where both bike really shine. Stay safe and maybe we’ll see ya out there!
