My dad as driver instructor was like a drill Sargent(yelling at my face) when he was teaching me how drive...he introduce me to anxiety😨. You did good tho keep up the good work!

woah i thought her dad was even a little stern:( given she was only going a little under the limit, it’s safer going slower than faster. my parents have always been calm while supervising bc being crazy only panics the learner:( i hope you’ve started learning and it went/ is going okay

i've literally driven a few more times than you and i am TERRIFIED to get on an actual road idk how you did it cause even this video gave me anxiety of me driving. how did you possibly drive 40 miles+ as a newbie omg but love this video !

Rebekah Mireles go to an empty school and practice and slowly start on roads, or go early in the morning when no ones on the roads!

Start off in parking lots and non crowded roads! I first drove in a parking lot and a small cemetery road at my church to learn the basics and then got on the road (technically it was a country highway) but it’s all about being comfortable. The more you practice the better you get! Don’t psych yourself out before you do it!

I used to get scared and anxious to drive too. My advice, if you can, practice on country roads before getting on freeways! Country roads are anywhere from 45-60 mph. But if you want something slower with less traffic, go into a big neighborhood with a lot of turns, you’ll only go about 20 mph.

Same my dad gets angry a lot, his style of teaching though is learn as you go, he forgot to tell me how to use the blinkers first time I drove.

i’m so lucky to have my dad. he’s been extremely patient with me when he’s teaching me how to drive. he gives simple instructions and never yells.

It gets a lot easier to look at other things the more you drive, I remember when I was scared to look somewhere not my mirrors or ahead of me when driving, but now I’m great

My first time driving on the highway was AWFUL! I was swerving the whole time because i was soo nervous! But I’ve been practicing for a couple weeks so I’ve gotten way better!! Also you guys did pretty well too!!

my dad taught me how to drive around a mall in our town. after he got our the car the first time he said, “i need to see a therapist” i’m happy to report that at 18 years old i have gotten better at driving! i would have never passed my parallel parking test if it wasn’t for my dad!
