I just listened to three versions of this song, Diana as well as Chris Isaak and Angelina Jordan; they all put so much emotion into it. This show in Russia is called 'You are Super".. It's to give underprivileged youth an opportunity to participate in a talent competition. Diana's birth mother neglected her when she was very young and she was taken to an orphanage. She was eventually adapted by one of the woman who worked at the orphanage because Diana had speech problems.. So, to help her she had her take singing lessons to correct her speech. The singing took off and she started entering talent competitions at 13 years old.. She just turned 17.. Her voice is described a the sound of the Earth.. You'll get what they are talking about if you listen to a song she did when she was 14 years old.. It's called Rechenka (River)

But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests. Diana had a rough start in life. Her alcoholic mother did not want her and abused and neglected her. She was abandoned at 3 years old. A relative found her and took her to an orphanage. A worker at the orphanage adopted her, and because she could not speak, sent her to a vocal teacher where she was taught to sing, so she could learn to speak. Now look at her!!! She is 15 years old at this competition for orphaned children. She won the competition two years in a row.
