The intro riff reminds me of WWE wrestler Seth Rollin's theme! Which is a good thing. This is me first time hearing this band here. Vocally they remind me of the kind of stylings and shoutings going on in Periphery and some Killswitch Engage- the shouting parts. Its got the components that will defo appeal to the tech-djent crowd. Lots of dropzones that submerge you in sudden downfalls of downtuned riffs and crystal clean strings that gleam and shine. Not eggsactly my cupán tae to be listening to all the time, but hellyeah, if you especially go GaGa over miotal trom like this, then its good to see 'em get the coverage here.

Singer Jesse Cash was part of another band called Ghost Atlas, also absolutely insane. Only found out about Erra and Ghost Atlas a week ago but definitely my fav vocalist.

If you haven't heard Impulse and Augment, you're missing out. Those albums take you to the vast unknown.

You will find these two albums, Impulse and Augment, really distinct in their sound and heaviness. As a band they have come a long way, but their first 2 albums are the closest to my heart. This album reinvigorated my love for new music after 4 years of not seeking any out.

In context of the album as a whole, every song is just right for me. Nothing too lacking and nothing overly done. Honestly it's one of the few albums I'll be happy listening through and through without any skips. Wholeheartedly agree with all the comments recommending to listen through its entirety. As far as I know, it's got a little bit of everything to satisfy the main groups of fans; those who are really into their melodic sound and the ones who consider the pre-Drift albums to be their favourite.

Snowblood is probably the best place to start. Album is amazing though.

The lead guitarist is the singer, which is Jesse Cash. He's a beast.

Hadn't seen one of your videos in my recommendations for a few weeks until this one - I've noticed that youtube really tends to broadcast reactions to things that other people are reacting too around the same time. Since a bunch of other 'metal' reaction channels have recently done Erra (and specifically Gungrave) it'll recommend it to all the people who watched other peoples videos. I feel like I can read your personality enough to know that you really don't want to be stuck always doing what 'Everyone else' is doing, but I think that's the way youtube is right now. I will say that I think if you picked a couple other songs that other chanells were doing you might find yourself liking a LOT of it - might be worth it to just sprinkle that influence in a few times a week to keep numbers up

Just not a fan of this type of clean vocals. Just too mainstream for me and I think there's auto tune in there too lol. The heavier guitar bits are good, more of that if they can please haha. A bit of a mixed bag for me.

As much as ERRA is still a great band they're not in their true form that they were in their Impulse and Augment albums.
