6 Inch is labelled “emptiness” in the movie, and it’s kind of about her trying to prove to him and herself that she can move on and be successful on her own. It’s definitely what you said that she’s lying to herself about not caring, trying to distract herself with work to avoid confronting the real issues (which she does in the next few songs). By the end of the song, she breaks down and finally admits to herself that she still needs him and wants him to come back. The distractions can’t mask the pain she still feels. Great reaction !

Beyoncé must have sprinkled some pixie dust on you because you are literally the only person I’ve seen react to this album where Sandcastles didn’t get blocked. Loved this reaction! Also since you commented multiple times about how she said “suicide before you see this tear roll down my eyes” and how you thought that was a facade it made me notice how in “Freedom” she says “I’m telling these tears go on fall away fall away”! Like she dropped the facade you know?

The “sorry original demo” is the original demo recording that we hardly EVER get to hear from a Beyoncé project! Ppl always saying she doesn’t write her stuff or produce her stuff or too many ppl work on her tracks, I think this demo is what Beyoncé made on her own and then the collaborators helped her flesh it out. But we get to see the raw talent of her pen and her ear for once!!!

Yes she left him and started a random tour "The Mrs. Carter Tour" and she took Blue. Jay-z confirms this on his album in response to this album called 4:44. Also her dad didn't die lol I think she means the death of his relationship with her mother because he was a cheater as well.

I also interpret 6 Inch as being the song where she is working and grinding hard as a coping mechanism so she doesn’t have to think about how she’s hurting and then the ending is her not being able to run away from those emotions anymore

So I think Bey knew about JayZs infidelity for a while (in the intro to Mine on her self titled album she said “been having conversations about breakups and separations are we gonna even make it” )but after having Blue, after the elevator situation with Solange, The song that was put out about Beyoncé - Sorry Mrs Carter by Liv and after a lot of magazine rumors about mistresses she decided to tell her side with this album. But I think she only did the album after reconciling because she did leave. Because the album was release 2016 but the elevator fight with Solange and the Sorry Mrs Carter song was in 2014.

Daddy Lesson: we hear about the divorce her parents went through and she confirmed it on "Ring Off" which was on Self-Titled but now she confirmed that her father was a cheater so you know the saying "it takes a snake to find another snake" so her father was a great person to help her regarding this situation. His father is alive but that line "right before he died" is referring to the time when Bey was mad at her dad so much that he was "dead" to her.

Ok. NeeCee. Please allow me to take this journey with you. Cowboy Carter was the FIRST album I downloaded from Beyonce. As an artists who made an ALBUM. I am thoroughly impressed with it. On my own volition I feel impelled to go back and check out other albums from her back catalog. I need NO convincing that Beyonce is a serious student of music who is into it for the sake of the craft itself. I have the greatest respect for established musical artists who continue in this forum, and not just for the "bag".

I think the line in “Love Drought” where she says “10 times out of 9 I think you’re lying” is talking about how people will just assume someone else is going to lie before they even speak when they’ve done something to break their trust, especially something as tough to work through as infidelity. Especially when later in the song she says “ten times out of nine I’m only human” so it could be just her admitting that it’s only human of her to expect the lies even before he opens his mouth

So for clarity of that daddy lesson and cowboy Cado when she mentions about her father, if you know the story of Beyoncé, her father is a good man in general, but he cheated on his his wife, which is Beyoncé‘s mother so when she says daddy is saying that when a man come around and don’t you dirty you shoot! Metaphorically means that you assassinate his life, but not like his actual life. It’s like you take everything from him. You take his life away from him. You take his money away from him. You take everything away from him. Don’t allow him to kill you you kill first

Great reaction! I always feel like Love Drought is the start of their therapy sessions. The 10 times out of 9 lies is maybe about him not being completely honest about his infidelities or the trauma that led them there, but he's trying to open up. Sandcastles is definitely the breakthrough in therapy were their both on the same page being completely vulnerable and knowing they have to start again from scratch. Freedom is a slight departure as its more political, but i think it still works in the relationship context as they are now fighting together to break the chains of generational curses. In 4.44 Jay-Z definitely talks about the traumas that therapy helped him face. There are some great interview pieces that accompany that album as well.

6 inch heels is the Beyonce on stage killing it like nobody's business. "Club" refers to the VIP section of her tours. "I was her witness" the crying Beyonce left her when she stepped on that stage and Sasha took over. If you would watch the Lemonade visual, you would probably pick up so much more hidden meanings. I think that Daddy Lessons also speaks about generational trauma, as her father (which has not died yet 😂) also cheated on her mother and had a child out of wedlock, while Jay Z was raised only by his mother and did not have a positive reference in terms of marriage. At the end of the song you can hear her daughter saying “God job B”, as in good job on breaking this cycle of suffering and understanding where all of this is coming from.

To me “6 inch heels” is just a worker anthem, ppl on their grind and pushing for more paper and success. The double entendre is her going out in 6 inch heels when she left jay for a bit, like f this, I’m a boss, I make my own money, I work my butt off, and I get that paper, I look damn good, and I’m going out tonight to celebrate.

It is alleged that she purchased a house, took Blu and left Jay-Z. It’s safe to interpret “6 Inch” as her moving on with her life without him. She murdered everybody with her talent, status and popularity, further proving that she can stand on her own without him. Him coming back to her…..I interpret her delivery of that as either him crying for her because he doesn’t want to lose her. I also think of it as what’s going on in her head….the pain of choosing to risk being hurt again and taking him back.
