If there was any reason to watch MLP aside from the show itself, it’d be the music. Equestria Girls definitely has the more definite radio-type music.

Equestria was at first a couple of spin off movies that take the series as canon. Basically, Sunset Shimmer was a pony who transported into the human world and did bad stuff before learning about friendship :3 Also, her voice actor did Twlight singing voice for a long time :)

It’s an alternate reality where all the ponies are humans. If a pony travels to that reality they become human and vice versa. But even weirder is that each pony already has a human counterpart somewhere in that world. The bacon hair girl you see is sunset shimmer and she is actually a pony from Equestria that fled that world for the human world.

They other girl & Twilight Sparkle share the same singing voice - could you tell?? That's the legendary Rebecca Shoichet!

Id definitely recommend the songs called "Born to break free" and "Awesome as i wanna be". Both are standout hits!

That's Sunset Shimmer, and Equestria Girls universe is a mirror universe, but Sunset Shimmer was originally a pony in Equestria who came to Earth through a portal in search of a world she could control. She was the student of Celestia before Twilight. It's kind of spoilers, but if you watch the Equestria Girls series they tell you the entire backstory in the first few minutes of the first movie, haha.

Another bit of advice aside from my other comment: the official uploads of many songs (the ones that have the little "Canterlot Records" popup near the beginning) often cut in unrelated bits of footage to make for a cooler "music video", rather than leaving the song intact as it appeared in the movie or episode. *Sometimes* this makes sense - such as when the song in the movie/episode was a shortened version of a longer song - but often it just ends up being confusing, such as the things you picked up on in your reaction to the last song today.

If this makes any more sense, the my little pony universe is a multiverse. They occasionally go between universes and there are seemingly infinite universes (as many as the authors want to write in or reference). There is even a briefly mentioned universe where they are dinosaurs instead of ponies, but the portal was destroyed out of fear

FYI senpai, you will have to wait until after season 3 (which is only 13 episodes) before you see the first equestria girls movie

EQG starts after Season 3. It's worth to watch. My constant opinion: story is weaker, but songs are nice and yes, those are „radio-songs”, but good to listen.

The girl with the red and yellow hair is Sunset Shimmer. She has this whole thing in Equestria Girls which yes it is a spin off but it starts in with pony Twilight. The Twilight we see with the glasses is actually the one from the Equestria Girls universe and the one without is from My Little Pony.

Sunset is a main girl, but unfortunately only in the human world. She gets some focus in the world of Equestria later down the road, but not enough. Sunset is probably one of the best in terms of arc and development

im going to be honest, i hate canterlot records. It seems that a lot of people who do this mlp reaction end up seeing some songs from canterlot records as a top result and watch it but they just suck. they have the full song but they randomly insert clips from the same episode/show that has the characters singing in it and it just confuses people who dont know thats what happens

Equestria girls has some good songs but nothing compared to the actual MLP FIM show ❤

Oh god, PLEASE SEE THIS COMMENT! Stop doing song reactions. Especially for MLP. As MLP got more popular they started getting more serious with the show. If you continue to react to songs YOU WILL BE SPOILED ON MAJOR DEVELOPMENTS.
