The genocide route is the biggest love to hate thing I know. It's frustrating to grind monster kills, every monster and boss goes down in one hit and feels so unsatisfying and the two bosses that don't instantly die are some of the hardest videogame bosses. I love how this route is built up to tell you "Stop! This is a bad idea!" But you keep going, just because you can. And what do you get as a reward? Loosing the ability to get that perfect happy ending... This route is emotional torture and if I ever try this route again one day, I'm stopping after I've defeated sans and start reloading the last save to let him kill me over and over again because I deserve it.

An important thing to note is that at the end of true pacifist, if you reopen the game after the credits roll, Flowey talks to *you* specifically. He makes it clear that the player and Frisk are separate entities. Frisk has their own life in the game's universe, and he tells you to let them live their life. However, you are the one who has control and can force their hand regardless of what everyone in-game may wish. Deltarune reaffirms this with the player's control over Kris and the choice of words, especially in Snowgrave/weird route.

so about the weapons, real knife is actually no better than a stick (not even the fastest, pan is usually used in speedruns instead), pan makes every item heal 4 hp more which isn't a lot but it's something, and notebook (and glasses) give you slightly more inv (enough to survive the first attack with 1 hp, other stuff makes you die on it so there is a difference), and it's probably the best equipment because of that, as the difference might be small but with how often you get hit on sans it can make a change

This was my first time being on a Purplecliffe livestream. It was so much fun! I tried giving Purplecliffe advice for the route, even if he didn't listen. I also started an onslaught of beaver emojis when he was fighting Sans with the Torn Notebook. I watched that stream for 8 hours, and it was an unforgettable time! Thanks, Cliffe!

Seeing people's SOULS (heheh) getting crushed during the Genocide route only fuels my love for Undertale. It's such a brilliant and well-crafted game that really makes you think about life in general. Like the whole bit with Sans going "you do it because you 'can.' so you 'have to.'" It's such a great line, along with many other lines that other characters (mainly Sans) have said. Thank you for playing all 3 main routes of this game, and healing the kid in me that grew up watching people play this.

I love how genocide tries to make you quit by making the story bland, having extreme grind, not giving you nearly as good music as pacifist (except for the 2 main bangers) and having that madsive powercreep before and after undyne.

28:34 Asriel’s soul was trapped inside a flower. Not only that, but he was completely unable to feel mental pain or sadness. So that’s why he went insane and killed everyone to go back to his actual form at the end of the pacific run. That’s pretty much the lore of this 🤷‍♂️

Yo plurple! Heres a tip if ya wanna fight sams again. When youre doing the one on the platform with the tight bones? When youre moving back, you can hold jump if you dont wanna risk more hp to go down.

Btw, in the slamming you into a wall and then you have to avoid the bones part, you could just hold all of the buttons to avoid them!

The check text is actually right sans dies in 1 hit and he does 1 damage, altough he can dodge and he cancels immunity frames + he makes karma damage (it’s similar to poison)

The genuine fear in his voice when you start brutally murdering flower is something else
