My flight in a powered hang glider

Here I bring you a different video, but I decided to upload it because it was an amazing experience.
This hang glider has a boxer 4 cylinder engine with 80 HP.
The flight spend about 20 minutes, and it was arround Sevlievo (Bulgaria).
Right now I´m in Sofia, and I hope to upload more car videos, so don´t worry ;)

I'd be careful my friend . This is not a powered hang glider , but a micro light , or in other words , a small plane and so needs a licence to fly . Powered hang gliders are governed by weight , so are limited in fuel capacity and generally only available as a single seat . There is provision in the regulations for a two seater , but to date , i have yet to see one . Another difference is powered hang gliders are normally foot launched , giving rise to the name f.l.p.a (foot launched powered aircraft) , however recently that has given way to s.p.h.g (self propelled hang glider) . I say normally , because a new s.p.h.g has recently risen . Called a sub 70 , it's basically a single seater again microlight (and yes it does have wheels) , but it is also limited by weight , so again there are no two seaters to date , however this is a new class . I don't keep up with the sub 70's , as i don't fly them , but i do fly an f.l.p.a , a Doodlebug 2 .

I saw your paragliding video, that's a very steep take off compared to many other places so it would have felt like a jump, but many places are less steep but a longer run which I think is less intimidating

It's between 2-5hundred usd, no license needed, and to fly it you just do it lol if you fail you die(i have faith you'll pick up the controls no prob.)

These ultralights appear to have pitch controls that work in the opposite direction to those of regular aircraft, in that the ultralight pilot pushes forward on the control bar to pitch the nose UP, while pulling back on the control bar to pitch down. For a pilot trained in conventional aircraft, ultralight pitch control must feel counter-intuitive at first. I'd love to own one of these ultralights, but only if it came with a ballistic parachute option, just in case that lawn-mower motor lost power high up.

It is totally intuitive for 'regular' hang gliders. that is what this is. A powered hang glider with a wheeled passenger pod attached. It's not a 'lawn mower motor', but appears to be a Rotax 582. It's a mass produced, highly reliable engine used in many flying machines. Seems like you need to study up quite a lot before you try flying off the ground. No matter how heavy or light, no matter what you call it, gravity still works.

+sfbluestar trikes can cost any where from a lower end used model for around $8k all the way up to a new one from Revo with a whole lot of options topping the scale at $110k. There are a lot of other great trikes in between. Do you research and find a good instructor.
