Gday Mate Wow what a story ! Maybe you are just that 1 in a million that your bodies defenses can't cope with sickness ? Man I have taken Prednisolone many times in the past for a ruptured disc (old rugby injury) and just recently for a really bad case of Shingles which is the worst pain that I have ever experienced and although the pain has mostly gone the marks are still on my body. Luckily I have no bad effects from it at any time. I would definitely be getting the flu shot if I were you mate, you certainly don't want to go through that again. You indeed are very lucky to have found such a loving and caring wife Take Care Mate

Its good that your pain is mostly gone. My dad suffers from all kinds of chronic pain. Hes been a farmer/rancher his whole life, so hes had some pretty bad injuries. He actually fractured his back once just by stepping in a hole in the hayfield. He got hit by a cow pretty hard once. His door on his pickup actually got dented where he hit it. He got kicked in the nuts by a calf in the cattle chute. He dropped to the ground immediately in pain. Hes always having some kind of surgery it seems. Now his neck is hurting again. I hope i dont have to deal with any of that when i get older, but i probably will. Any kind of medicine just scares me. I have such bad reactions to medications. Its all part of the fun of getting older I guess. You take care as well.
