for Fletch's head shakers, I'd recommend a fly mask that blocks 80% of UV rays. Because you mentioned he starts head shaking most in the sun if I heard correctly. It worked amazingly for my horse with head shakers. We found out he's just super sensitive to UV rays. And obviously I'm not a veterinarian but I feel like it could work for Fletch and it doesn't work for every single horse out there but I know that I did work for my horse that does have head shaker syndrome.

We had a head shaker and discovered it was allergies so we rode him with a veil over his nose. It completely made him rideable again. There are fly masks and now veils that attach to your bridle. Might be worth a try 🤷🏼‍♀️

I was shocked to hear that foals can Colic, but also not surprised as there are colicky human babies as well. I am really glad to hear that Tic Tac is doing better. When do plan to do an update on Tic Tac's training? If Fletch is Peach's adoptive Brother than what is Tic Tac? Baby Sister or adoptive Niece?

Sorry for all the problems one after the other. Been there myself. Always seemed like horse injuries or illness came in big, expensive batches, lol. Regarding Fletch's back, have you used a chiropractor? Have known a number of thoroughbred owners that use one regularly and the difference is obvious very quickly. I used one for my national show horse several times, let her rest for 2 days before riding and could not deny the improvement I felt from the first round in the arena.

where i got my newest horse from, they only fed 2 biscuits of hay a day to almost 30 horses, there was NO grass in the paddock and my horse now, was the lowest of the peaking order so he probably got little amounts of food. when we brought him he was rlly aggressive when it came to food. but now he is rlly sweet and pretty much in conditions. we have had him for just over 4 months now

If you didn’t already, maybe try acupuncture for fletch? For my ottb, it was the only way to get her back muscles to stop being stiff after 1,5 years of massaging, osteopathic treatments and and and... one session and she didnt have any problems since. I am sure somebody reputable could assist with his headshaking? Good luck with the injured babies 😭😊

Fletch might benefit from a UV filtering fly mask. My headshaker has a 95% blockout fly mask. A low sugar diet with no lucerne or clover helps too. Have you tried a nose net when riding? I haven't tried this yet because my horse has a back issue but other people have a lot of success with them. I suggest reaching out to the owners of headshakers and getting their advice.

I am not trying to sound like a smart arse. But I know with my horses, I have to have hay all the time in the paddock because they easily get ulcers so we had to have a roll in the paddock. But I do know that with foals you have to feed them less. So what do so they don’t get ulcers? But with my horses the get ulcers all the time so we have to feed them all the time. But when in the stable they have a slow feeder.

Headshaking isn't that simple sadly. The horse gets perceived pain in a nerve in their head and this has various triggers. Because it's perceived pain, painkillers don't work. My horse is also a headshaker. The actual cause of headshaking is unknown.

If a horse comics give them whiskey. I know it doesn’t sound right to give a horse alcohol or whatever. But it does help. Keep giving them whiskey until they burp. Then don’t give them anymore. Remember you have to force them to drink it because horses don’t like the smell of it.
@cassimarucci6362

Isa T actually no I’m not joking. I work a at thoroughbred racing’s facility. And one horse got colic for not drinking enough water and got colic that night and we gave him whiskey. It took us maybe 30 mins for him to burp and the morning he was perfectly fine. We didn’t exercise him of course but he was healthy. Plus we had the vet come out that day to do a check up and he said we did the right thing. So don’t be coming at trainers/staff who know a lot about horses when you are not very well educated
