I was so happy when you pulled up that diamine safari. I just placed my first ink (and pen) order yesterday and a good swampy/olive-y green was one of my priorities. The store I was buying from didn’t have many options for samples. None of the sample greens hit the mark for me, so I went out on a limb and bought the full bottle of diamine safari. I love how it looks in your journal. I think I’ll be happy with my selection!!

Love your collection and your descriptive analysis of each color. A must-have permanent black ink (IMO) would be Platinum Carbon Black. ❤

yellow is so hard to get right! you are right on. autumn oak is one of my favorites. if you like a dark tea stain color, i recommend taccia benitsuchi. its like a dark orange red with dark brown streaks. i pray you have a blessed autumn with lots of beauty.

You got so lucky with the 54th. Mine was so messy it was unusable. It even feathered on tomoe river!!! Insane. Tried to make it work adding water, nothing ….

Oh, I like this really much and you did it very pretty with the cards, but I'm new in ink and I like to know how do you use it/ with which pen? Perhaps you would like to film this too?

I could do some more of my currently inked pens for sure! But I don’t have a very in depth method for picking inks. I’m the kind of person who loves to match the colors of inks with the pen. Then after using it, it will tell me whether that was a good combination together.

You have picked very many nice inks! Thank you for this wonderful video! I am loving fountain pen inks! Question: how much trouble do you have with your Noodler's inks smearing? I wish I could do something to my Noodler's inks to keep from worrying about it when I ink pens up with it. Also, I really love your notebook cover! What kind is it? Now, I am going to check out more of your videos.😊 Thank you so much for sharing! Beautiful presentation!!!

The Noodler’s inks are so fickle, and a lot of them smear with me. Some are so gorgeous but have crazy long dry times. As for the notebook, this was the 2022 Hobonichi notebook cover. I’m not sure how many may be left in stock. Thank you for subbing, and I hope you enjoy the other videos!! ☺️

De Atramentis Document Black and Archival Black are virtually the same ink. The only difference is that Document Black is certified as a document ink for the legal profession. They are both waterproof and archival, so you don't need to buy anything else. I also love warm earth tones. Brown, gray, and purples are my absolute favourites, but I do have a problem and have too many of every colour. Samples are the devil. 😂 Can't wait to see what you bought 😍

Thank you for this! That saves me having a duplicate. I’m also doing everything I can to not purchase Platinum Carbon Black because I heard it’s also super similar to the De Atramentis.

@@itscassburton Platinum Carbon Black is also a pigment ink that tends to clog pens and requires regular pen maintenance. It's best to use that in a cheap pen like a preppy that you won't care if it gets ruined.

Any recommendations for a good dusty pink, no sparkly no shimmer, just a good plain dusty pink? Hehe it’s funny to run around asking for the “Pink Ink” P.S. Manyo HaHa is perfection in a bottle

So I’ve been thinking about this one and probably Herbin Rouille d’Ancre. No shimmer no sheen. A little dry but it’s cooperated it M or larger nibs. If you’re looking for rose then it’s Robert Oster Australis Rose. I haven’t tried any Ferris Wheel Press yet but they have some very dusky pinks. You just have to be careful because some have shimmer and some don’t. I think Lady Rose from that line could also fit the bill but I haven’t tried it personally

I just order 18 inks (samples & bottles) from Truphae and thanks to this video I'm making a list of more ink. Deep Pine Forest is dreamy. 😍 I really wanted to like Noodlers but I find them very dry. Don't get me started on Noodlers Brown. 💩

Hello! I typically make my own. I take whatever fountain pen friendly paper I like best and cut it down to fit my swatch book.

You might have to write more than 13000 pages to write with a broad nib for 50 ml ink bottle for 20 bottles. However, i do understand the ink collection thing. My collection is also growing 😂. Please tell me how to stop😂
