That is an amazing idea! My mother always made a list on the fridge of upcoming dinners but my whole adhd family after a while just sees the paper as a part of the fridge and forgets to read it but the way you do it let’s you visualize off limits foods and it’s awsome

The key to meal prep is always preparing and portioning in advance before you do the cooking. Pre-preparing helped me with my weekly meals.

Yes, awesome advice.... with a recent diagnosis of ADHD, turning 40 soon with a toddler, teens and partner, can't ever keep single meal ingredients straight. Everyone eats whatever they feel like. Been having to rely on frozen foods... more work less likely to be eaten. Lol! But now I'll try this. Now to find bins that fit.....

They have some cute containers at dollar tree! They have different seasonal containers and they everyday items that are always stocked.. In the spring they had tons of snack containers that are great for lunchboxes or just to-go. The fall containers are beautiful colors this year.

I love this. My fridge is almost always empty because I have a hard time shopping without a recipe and when I do buy something, I forget what my own meal plan was. This totally looks like something I could work with to plan meals / keep the fridge stocked.

That's a super clever use of those. Those aesthetic fridge restocks always look so cost inefficient. they require you buy the same stuff all the time (regardless of sales or other factors) and in these same fairly small amounts.

This is a great idea! Especially the grouping together of ingredients for upcoming recipes. As someone who has chronic illnesses I’m definitely gonna try the ‘ingredient grouping for recipes in containers’ strategy. This literally just sent off a lightbulb in my head. I can’t make the recipes I wanna yet, but once I’m able to this trick is gonna make it a lot easier/possible. So thank you for that 😁

@@mmconceicao I got it right as far as the cooking & taste. It was the time it took ME vs. the time on the cards that it said it would take. Liars. Lol. It would take me AT LEAST 2 - 2 1/2 hrs from start to finish. Now, when my daughter was home, I was able to get it down to less time. So, it was more of a time management issue that cooking it really. But I really should have been a little more specific about how I couldn’t get it right. Lol. I would even totally forget about them & end up with TWO wks. worth & yea it wasn’t good. I still have all the recipe cards from all the meals we got so I’m still able to make all those meals if wanted.

That's actually a better idea for me to organize by what I'm making that week than to remember a bunch of individual lunch snacks that I'm only gonna apply as I feel and not everyday.. some snack items can go in the pantry until needed or opened.. thanks for fixing my problem lol 🥰🥰
