You have to figure out how much you will spend for demolition and clearing of the crap and materials to rebuild. You just cants say such stupid stuff without knowing if you are going to lose money. You sound like a renter...not an owner. It gets expensive...more than if you started on an empty lot. I bought a plot of land for 100 dollars in Sayre, OK. I could not build on it because I found out it had and underground house....with no idea how that happened or how long ago.....way to expensive...so moved back to az.

that is why that land is so cheap. Most probably it is for summer usage only. However on some dachas people prefer to live in a winter - so they combine together to hire a snow cleaner after each snow to clean the road. Goverment has no responsibility for dacha type of land and it makes it so cheap. Village land plot usually much expensive, because goverment has to build roads and all other infrastructure.

Maybe get two goats to clear the land & you get milk/cheese etc.. The land looks great, nice & fertile.. good for fruit trees & vegetables. Here in New Zealand it looks very much the same, we'd turn open side shipping containers connected side by side to make a home with glass where the doors were & we'd use ground screws for piles/footings.. rain water/waste tanks & go solar. Here in NZ that piece of land you'd be paying at least $200,000 - 300,000 nz

Outskirts is the word you are looking for. Your friend lives in the outskirts of town. Really is a distance away from town. Out in the country!

Wish your friend good luck with his Dacha. Where I live we have place's we call camps. Same idea though. A camp is a place to go and relax to get away from the city. Those old books, picture's etc..that you were looking at were interesting. I enjoy looking at thing's from year's ago as well. Nice of you to help out your friend. Enjoyed watching and I hope Suzi and beautiful angel Sati are both doing well!🙏❤

Great video Dan. Thanks for showing us your friend's property. It seems he has some great fruit trees on his land. It will be a lot of work, but so worth it. I hope he has many friends and some family who will help him clear his land.

The word is outskirts, or semi-rural. Dan, I hope you can show us your friend's progress as he improves his property. He could use bricks from the old homes to build a new one. 🙂

Seems like a "Russian dacha" would be what I would call a "gentleman's farm" here in the USA. Outskirts works, as would borderlands, periphery, or rural/outlying districts. Thanks for showing how similar we are rather than our differences. Always enjoy watching, thanks Dan! Looking forward to welcoming your child into the world soon too!

Your friend is smart to buy land! It is a big project to clean all the land and figure out what kind of dwelling he wants to build but with time, some money and hard work....and friends like you Dan, anything is possible. Congratulations to your friend on his purchase. I hope you will continue to keep us updated on his progress as time goes on. All the best to you, your family and your friends. My husband (at the time) jacked up the house and had build a whole new foundation...the house was very very old and the foundation had been made with river rock and Clay mud... Once he repaired the whole house it was worth it....Because the materials used long ago is better than the material today. He had gutted out the whole house just the framework stood..

Outskirts describes the outer edge of a city or town, farthest from the center but still technically part of that place.

I would have sold my phone to for property...Long ago my Husband (then) & I accumulated 8 homes that we rented out ..Mind you he was a carpenter and could build remodel & repair...that was long ago...I can't believe what your friend paid for his property... I live way out in the Mtns....a couple of years ago I bought a brick house with 24 acres, well water, springs, Creek and a larger creek/river...I love the cool mountain breezes...As you were talking I was in my garden planting my tomatoes that I started from seed... Sun is setting now orange/rose sky .. I need to put up my chickens....I have a lot of wild animals here....wolves, coyotes, bears, bobcats & MTN Lions (and yes I have seen a mountain Lion...when you have deer too...they follow them.. Always good to see & hear about Russia...I went there in 1997 & adopted my blue eyed blonde baby girl (9 mths old)... Take care my Ruskie friend 😁
