She TRIED to explain to him and all he would have needed to do would have been to listen to her for maybe 5 minutes to realize she was unconscious from being DRUGGED. Then they could have pressed criminal charges together against the mother since that is a crime. He could then disown his mother and spend his life with her.

She deserves a man who actually trusts her and also deserves a man who cares and loves her as well. Maybe one day she will find that man (or woman which ever comes first).

If I were her I would have pressed CRIMINAL CHARGES against the monster in law. That drink was DRUGGED, probably with the "date rape drug" or some similar chemical. Drugging someone against their will is probably a felony. The first place I would have gone would have been to a hospital for a blood and urine test to see if any illegal drugs were in my system.

Had she NOT been a total piece of dog $hit, in the OTHER "quantum state" she would have had a loving relationship with her son AND a loving relationship with her daughter in law AND possibly a loving relationship with her grand children AND been RICH (she lost her wealth by neglecting her business just to ruin her son's wedding). If I was her son I would have never spoken with my mother again for the entire remainder of her life, even when she is on her death bed and after she died I would not go to her funeral. She did NOT want what was best for her son. She wanted what was best FOR HER. She was selfish and self absorbed. It was about what SHE WANTED. I have to wonder if she even truly loved her son. I was expecting him to REJECT the rich girl, maybe say to his mom that he only loved the other one even though she cheated on him. He seemed way too ready to find another woman. On the topic of giving him another chance, if I was the young woman it would have been CONDITIONAL. He has to DISOWN HIS MOTHER, never speaking to her again for the remainder of her life, and when she dies he cannot go to her funeral. Nor can he visit her at the nursing home during he last years of her life. And if we have children his mother can have no contact with them AT ALL until their 18th birthdays. I think it was for the better. Martha tried to warn Harry about his mom, Sasha, earlier, but he didn't want to listen. She was right to leave them behind in the end because money can't buy love, trust, honor and nobility. I'm pretty sure the woman, Lola, that Sasha set up to marry Harry was the one who betrayed her. She told the rival business owners where the company was at it's weakest and let them attack Sasha from behind.

I would permanently disown my mother. I would never again communicate with her in any way. If necessary I would get a restraining order to keep her away from me. I would not even visit her on her death bed and after she dies I would not attend her funeral. And if I ever ended up having children with someone else she would not be allowed to have any contact with her grand children until their 18th birthdays and I would make sure to include them in the restraining order. He did not even need to flat out give her a 2nd chance. I kind of define that as its established that she cheated but he trusts her not to do it again. All she needed was for him to listen to what she had to say. She tried to explain to him but he cut her off and refused to let her have her say. I cannot stand people like that. It probably would only have taken her 5 minutes to convince him that she was "date rape drugged" by the mom and that the guy was an actor. Even in the picture her eyes were closed and it was obvious from body language that she was asleep.

It was not the fact that he believed the mother that she held against him. It was his refusal to even give her a few minutes to explain her side of the story. He cut her off and refused to listen to her. If he had believed his mother at first but begrudgingly gave her a few minutes to explain to him I think their relationship would have been just fine. I cannot stand people who refuse to give you even a few minutes to explain your side of the story.

There are some boundaries in relationships, but his mother crossed them all! 😠

1. She did NOT get what she deserved. She deserved PRISON. Sneaking the "date rape drug" into someone's drink is a FELONY. 2. Paying the bill was more an act of revenge than generosity. Forcing someone who had once been a rich snob thumbing her nose down at the "poor beggar" as she called the waitress fiancee to be beholden to the financial charity of that same person would do even more damage to the monster in law's self esteem.
