You’re the man Matt! As someone who wears one of the scary dentist white coats, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before you get all of your teeth out. Or if you’ve got a dental school near you, usually diagnoses are best there… not saying that the implant center was wrong, but knowing what I know about the dental profession and the money to be made, I would want a second opinion if I were in your shoes. I promise it’s worth it for peace of mind if nothing else.

You have given us thousands of hours of free entertainment. Weather, it's a giveaway fundraiser or donation. You know your community is behind you 100%. Dental shit is nothing to screw around. Don't know how many people I speak for, but I'm sure it's a lot . We are here to help. 👍

Last year I had my second open heart surgery in 6 years and your channel helped me get through it. It would make me very happy to help you however I can!

Matt- I also had a fear of the dentist that resulted in an infection. After finding an office I trusted and going all in, I can say it’ll be 10000% worth it. We always make it out to be worse than reality. You’re going to feel like a newer and happier person after. Stay the course it’s more than worth it!

I had bad teeth for a long time, dentures was the best decision i made. Wasnt cheap, pain sucked for a bit initially. You can do this, we are all here for you. ❤❤

Some people have a way with words and I not have way, but I was thinking it's really great of you to talk openly about health issues, insecurities, things you're afraid of, things you're emabarassed about... getting that stuff out in the open can really help other people dealing with same. You might just really help a bunch of strangers that should really reach out and get help. Good on you, Matt and good luck with 2024. The big thing I've learned about healthcare is finding the best people you can find in that particular field. That said, I think you're going to look back and think, "ZOMG I should have taken care of this YEARS AGO." Your name is Matt.

Hi there Matt. Saw your video. I am a dentist and when you’re talking about a big case like that doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion. Sometime treatment plans can be too aggressive. I would get a second opinion from a smaller reputable DDS in your area. My history with these big conglomerates is that they over treat. Mind you I’m saying this without seeing your case films. A positive is having a beard and mustache hides everything, may not even be noticeable. If you get temporary dentures sometimes they are harder to get used to. Regarding the puff pastry side of things. I had wondered what happened to your weight loss vids, well, same as with me not posting about my health journey on FB anymore. ....because I fell off the wagon too, big time over the last 5-6months. I undid a significant portion of all the hard work I put into myself over a year or so, and the 1000 miles hiked. Time to put both our collective big boy pants back on. Literally I'm guessing I put back on 40-50lbs of what I lost. Mother FKer!!!!!! So I feel ya on that one. No more dropping the ball, lets both get back at it. We both know what works for us, and what blows us up like balloons.

My goal for 2024 is to watch more ADHD Whiskey and pick up more of your picks. I have one on the way right now.

I’m a fourth year dental student at the University of Louisville. Moved to Louisville four years ago and fell in love with bourbon. Found your channel and have been following you ever since. When I was in 6th grade my best friend shot out one of my top incisors w/ a bb gun. Was able to finally get an implant when I turned 21. Still got the implant 26 years later, what a life changer. Congrats on the new gig! I'm curious how it affects your ability to judge in the ASCOTs. I have a junior in high school who struggles w/ their ADHD. You're an inspiration, keep doing what you're doing!

My father went through the implant process, and I can vouch that it's a real process, but he came out the other side SO much better off and healthier in general. Hey Matt, wishing you the best of luck with the dental implants. I'm coming up on finishing 3 implants I started almost a year ago, it's neither a quick nor inexpensive path as you've found out. While I waited for my implants to absorb into my bone I had a partial denture made up to bridge the gap (is that a pun?). One thing I didn't expect around dentures is it covered a good portion of my upper palate which turned down my ability to taste by a significant amount, who knew you had taste buds on the roof of you mouth! In the long run though it was the best option for me long term and I'm looking forward to finishing this journey in a few weeks. I'd be happy to support a fundraiser and you've given a lot to the community!

I feel your pain, literally. I worked for a small business for 15 years, no insurance. I think the rest of the story is self explanatory. I’m still trying to make up for lost time, but it’s an embarrassing struggle. I’m already running through my head the apology I’ll give the hygienist next week when I go in for my next visit. Thank you for speaking out. As a guy nearing 50 with heart issues, it definitely shouldn’t be ignored any longer. Godspeed on your journey Matt.

SLB Drinks did a raffle with a bunch of bottles that did really well last year. Maybe they'd have some helpful ideas, but either way this is my favorite whiskey channel so no matter the teeth situation you have my view, aupport, and prayers.

Oh man! I have a couple friends that have had the implants done. It's a long difficult process. Both of my friends have had problems with the implants. One friend has had to have his redone a couple times and he got infected and had to have cadaver bone put into his jaw. Follow their directions to the letter, but don't be surprised if there are complications. I wish you luck my friend! Cheers.

Matty I am right there with you about dental things. I refused to let my dental hygienist friend look at my mouth. Don't want that stress on a friendship. I've had serious infections and pain, pain. I've taken steps to fit it all- waiting to get an implant . What I'm trying to say is, you aren't alone. Thanks for sharing, others out there are dealing with similar things. Love you Matt!

Dude so sorry you’re going through it. I went through a period of having a lot of dental issues in my early 30s and it really sucks. I had 3 teeth pulled, 2 root canals, and several crowns. One of the teeth I had pulled kept getting infected at the root and It was a terrible experience. Do the fundraiser and get it taken care of. The community will be here for you man.

My story is very similar to yours. It about the same age I had my teeth pulled and new ones put in. It wasn't fun but I'm glad it got done. You'll come out of this like a new man.
