My Generation - The Who (Live at the Isle of Wight)

14 жыл бұрынLive at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970 is a live album by The Who, recorded at the Isle of Wight Festival on 29 August 1970, and released by Sony in 1996 along with a corresponding VHS video, which was re-released on DVD in 1998 and remastered in 2004. The DVD is very different from the CD. Differences include very significant cuts in the Tommy part of the show and in "My Generation", and, in addition, the video at many parts of the concert is not in sync with the audio. 600,000 people attended the festivel and the Who gave one of the most memerable live performances ever.
Sorry about any bad qualitly, also it is normal some of the audio is not in sync as it is like that on the DVD.

As a major Led Zeppelin fan I’ve been on this The Who kick for a few days, it started with Magic Bus Live at Leeds and now I’m searching all these live shows. I might have to buy some live albums after Christmas.

I've been listening to them for fifty years, saw them live a few times ( once with Keith and John ) and never thought of them that way. But all the time it was obvious. Thanks.

@@richardk6659 Where was that? I saw the who 2006, 2007, 2014 and 2017 in germany. I play the Bass myself and it is a shame that i newer saw john entwistle live. I believe, they played with john in germany 2000 or 2002 That still annoys me today

There's a lot of great drummer's but Keith Moon on was some form of natural force like a hurricane coming at you and the same with the great, great John Entwistle BLESS THEM BOTH WE MISS THEM SO MUCH.

good god that bloddy roadie you can see behind keith playing at the end ... what a lucky fuck!.... i cant even imagine what witnessing the monolithic onslaught of the best drummer in the world doing some of his best drumming must have been like and the power he hit those things on the last of petes chorus was unfuckingreal ... cant stop watching this blows me away everytime and the sounds that they are making are simply the best that music can be to my ears ... i'm in love x)

Actually, Pete got that from Keith Richards. He saw Keith swinging his arm in like fashion one time, to loosen up his arm. Pete asked if he could borrow it. In so many words, Keef said, sure it 's yours.

Man upstairs puts best drummer, guitarist and poetic voice. No basis. Jimmi had 3 man set doors 4 man no bassist hmmm. 65 to 67 all three and music changed

Jimmi discovered to put guitar low on 1 with ten amps cranked high to get that feedback around the who. We got Jimmi best guitar, Keith Moon best drummer and Jim Morrison best vocalist from 65 to 67. Changed music. Was time for a change all gone now but all at same concert here. For the show of a lifetime
