Күн бұрынHey y'all! Sorry I missed ya last week. Life has been pretty busy lately and I just got back from a big backpacking trip earlier this week. I'm back now so expect the content to resume as normal!
In this episode, as per popular demand, my girlfriend Tessa joins me for a night of camping. This is her first time in my new(ish) truck camper and things go great. Hopefully this will be the first of many appearances she makes in the near future - well, she's been in videos before but not for quite some time, ha.

Dude, I was afraid to ask, because if y’all had broken up, it was none of our business! So glad to see Tessa back! I was also worried, because in one of your last few videos, you made and drank the coffee, but there was no Wooo! Thought something was really wrong, but everything is great again since she’s back. Watching you camp takes me away from my mundane, working-most-of-the-time life right now. It’s crunch time for my family, but as soon as things let up, we’re hooking up the travel trailer, and heading out to the woods again! Keep up the great videos!

When you have a regular job, sleep is super essential. That's why she values where she's going to sleep. Hahahaha camping for her should be purely for relaxation.

I purposefully searched for the lowest wattage rice maker and I use it with my jackery 500 to cook with. The rice maker was that cheap $15 one, it uses MAX 50 watts on the Jackery. I purchased it for power outages etc and I use it for sooooo much more than rice. I boil pasta in it, warm up canned goods, I have it going right now with a chicken breast in it that I will be shredding for chicken tacos. I use one large breast and after making a couple street tacos I will use the remaining chicken to do chicken and dumplings with. ALL of which is cooked in the rice maker plugged into my jackery.

I would’ve hook up a extension cord on the camp site hook up… and either used it to cook the rice or charge the jackery while cook the rice

Were they ever really "together". I think they have a wonderful friendship and hangout once in awhile. People sometimes really under estimate the "gift" of a great friendship

@@1jackvalley580 Hahaha. Jonathan and Tessa live together in Oregon. They have for quite some time now. Tessa was on many videos while he was using the Slumber Queen and over the winter when they went snowboarding. Those videos were enjoyable; you should look them up.

I love the alternative of using those solar power lithium generators instead of gasoline generators but as you see they drain fast with something like a rice cooker. You need a large enough solar panel as they'll become single-use on an extended trip. Even with a large panel, they'll take a few hours to charge. When I'm on the road with the vehicle driving I'll connect an inverter and use the 110-volt charger it comes with the battery for a faster charge.

How fun 😊✌️ Nice to see Tessa back too. For the curry, you were surely missing some simple Indian pickle/chutney which always rounds it out, deliciously so. I agree with the curry. There are several things I love to eat, but only about once a month - curry, pancakes, oatmeal, chili, soups, and jambalaya are just a few. You need a cooling blanket. Got mine on amazon for $35.99. Changed my sleeping in the rv and at home.

When you go backpacking, why not just take your GoPro. For my backpacking videos, I attach mine to the top of my hiking pole which then double duties as a selfie stick. Try it out!

Tessa, a word to the wise after camping many years. You want the sleeping area that has the quickest access to the bathroom which in your case is The Great outdoors LOL. Of course when I camp in my little tent inside alone I have my own little homemade porta potty because there's no way I'm going out there at night by myself nope lol 😂🖐️💖👣😀‼️
