Can I just say how refreshing it is to watch a resin-video from Jazza that doesn't feel rushed because of a deadline. Most, if not all, of the former pouring / casting videos were ruined because of a " _I don't have 3 days to wait for normal resin to cure, so I'm gonna use UV-resin and flash cure it with a UV lamp brighter than the sun_ " kind of thing.

As a fellow resin artist, I would recommend (even with using a deep cast resin) to do a couple shallower pours instead of one big one. This way you can limit the heat reactions and it can help with the bubbles reaching the surface and popping before it cures. One thing I've done in my bigger projects is pour a shallow base layer, let it cure til it gets kind of gloopy and gel-like. Then pour the next layer. Or you can wait til each layer is fully cured and lightly sand the surface before pouring the next layer. I loved making dice a long time ago, and this makes me want to get those molds back out! Loved this!!

getting a bigger vacuum and putting it in there after the pour would get rid of this step completely and eliminates seeing the layers of each pour, to do this hed have had to make a big cube of resin then shape it into a dice after it was cured which would increase the resin waste and take more time ofc but its really the only way to have a deep bubble-less resin pour with no layers

As Jimmy Diresta always says, "You go to school on the first one." You can't expect it to be perfect. If you do another one next year, with maybe a beholder in it, you are going to make it much better. Maybe the giant D20 with an iconic D&D monster/character in it should be an annual project. Just make sure to time it just after Halloween so you can steal all the knowledge E&K gain from their pumpkin pours and make yours that much better😄.

Incredible Jazza! I just want to say one thing. I make dice myself and I actually cure each side with UV resin instead of polishing like you did and what I have realised is that when you sand it and it has a hole, the dust from the sanding fills the hole and creates a white dot. I see your finished result is speckled with those white dots. Just as a tip: next time try to scrape the packed dust out of those holes or wash the whole thing before you put the UV resin finish over 😄 I learned this the hard way myself 😅

Your projects are always amazing, thank you for sharing! I've seen video's where people built lager vacuum chambers for use for projects. Essentially just sealed boxes with the thick acrylic tops. Something like that might help if you do larger scaled projects like this in the future. You could potentially do a support casting with plaster of paris in that case that matches the chamber so you don't have to worry as much about the frame acrylic warping. You only need it open at the top after all. Depending on the resins working time you might be able to apply pressure between pours to maximize bubble removal.

I taught myself resin casting and dice making in a true Jazza style. ie, dropping headfirst into a new hobby with literally no idea what I was doing. I want Jazza to try making a resin dice set now, even just one of those painted dice sets like Rybonator did. Especially if he did a chonk dice, whether it was a 20mm or a 50mm. I also couldn't help but feel the pain when hearing sanding and dice in one sentence.

This is truly amazing!!! Your videos give me inspiration to go back to art every time I get lost in studying and make me remember the joy of creating something with your own hands🐙 I honestly want to thank you for all that you've given to me throughout the years I've been following✨
