Brandon and Devorah do have a different foundation to their relationship, too. They've had years to become familiar with each other outside the context of a romantic relationship, without all the pressure that involves. There's certainly more intimacy after starting a relationship, so more opportunity to find something you don't like that you hadn't seen yet, but Devorah has already had a chance to screen Brandon for red flags, decide she likes him despite whatever about him is annoying, and get a general sense of his character. I bet that helps the entire thing feel more secure than just striking up a relationship with anyone.

I could tell this would have gone exactly like this, truth or drink only gets awkward or more interesting if there are some secrets or uncomfortable feelings. Between people that are as close as Jen and Devorah then it was obvious how it would go. But still it was a great video, honestly surprised they didn’t drink more

I feel like the whole “getting someone similar to your mom/dad” depends a lot on whether you like your mom/dad or not. I really dislike my dad and anytime I see one of his characteristics in someone (mental or physical), I instantly lose interest. With that said, the girlfriend and the mom look very very similar here
