In this video I go over how my Godox flash photography kit dropped 10 pounds by switching to more lightweight strobes and support equipment. My previous location lighting kit was : 3 Godox AD200's, 2 Bowens S2 brackets, 2 Cheetahstand C10's, 1 Cheetahstand C8, 3x H200R round heads, AK-R1 grids and gel holders, 1 fresnel head, 1 barebulb, 1 maggrip, 1 magsnoot, 1 magbeam and magmasks, rogue round gels.
My new location lighting kit is
1x AD300 Pro (xplor 300 Pro) : adorama.rfvk.net/JnRna
AD-S85 Softbox : adorama.rfvk.net/V59jk
2x AD100 Pro (xplor 100 Pro) : adorama.rfvk.net/bR4z9
1 Westcott 10' Pro Stand : adorama.rfvk.net/AooAGo
(lightest 10' wide footprint stand I could find from a reputable brand)
1 Nissin LS-65C carbon fiber nano stand : amzn.to/3eKKuWF
1 Phottix Padat 198 carbon fiber nano stand : amzn.to/38It74X
AK-R1 accessories and gels
Bag : Strobius 110 Standard strobiusshop.com/product/strobius-bag-standard-110/
Also : I did not switch away from the Cheetahstands because I don't like them. They are great. But, I don't need the utility of quickly moving the stand between tight locations anymore, as I'm working in more spacious environments (aka not weddings). I still think Cheetahstands are the best drop stand on the market and I will continue to use them if I am shooting a wedding.
