As a Swede myself, I had a couple gaming friends years back that I would hang out with on voice chat. One evening a friend of mine was digging through the cupboards in the kitchen while I was enjoying a conversation with the Danes, producing some rustling noises that they overheard. They asked me, "What is that noise?" to which I replied, "Oh, that's my monkey". This response, in turn, was overheard by my rummaging friend, so he made the executive decision to further exaggerate the rustling and produce monkey-noises. My Danish friends were wildly perplexed, shooting questions in rapid fire to get a handle on whether I was being serious. Perfectly, in the end, they asked me what I feed it. "Bananas", I told them. They believed me.

While driving through Sweden a long time ago, i fooled my little sister by telling her that if you look closely in the treetops you can see monkeys, because there are monkeys in Sweden. Then Everytime she stopped looking for monkeys out of the window, i went "OHH, theres another" so she always thought she JUST missed it. Good old times :D

The emergency number in Sweden at that time was "90000", I remember having a VCR record of ace ventura where I was always reminded of that fact because of the subtitles when Ace asks if the police number still is "911". Translated to 90000. Really stupid that the had such a long number, especially as most phones was a rotary phone 😂 took ages for it to rotate.. 0 being the LAST number ♿
