@@TaylorDanley Hey Taylor, you need to do that song with and without drums for every amp you own back to back and put it on KZfaq! Your only setting yourself up for a Trillion views and likes once everyone shares it. Call it 'all amps thrashed' or something or 'all amps tested'. and test four speakers on all the amp heads. Don't use impulse or whatever we can try to get impulse settings close ourselves if so wish by hearing.

I’m an EMG guy too, but I put Seymour Duncan Nazgûls in the bridge and the Black Winter in the neck of my Jackson Warrior. Greatest combination ever.

Also thank you for being one of the KZfaqrs still passionate about amps! I get the modeling and capturing i get it i use an fm3 for everything i do at the computer hell i use it for all of my effects other than over drive 4cm, but even with a tube power amp it doesn't beat my heads just like a 2x12 didn't replace any of my 4x12s. I know i know in a show you won't notice i get it but when i need to be inspired or i go record or go to band practice I'm using the real thing when i go play shows I'm using the real thing I'm not going to be a touring band that needs rack fractals ect

More tubes have more current which bass reproduction requires and sometimes they even tweak the circuit so there's less low-end so they can get more volume out of them to compensate for the reduced output. Bass heavy tones are bad but an amp that's all 200 Hz and no fundamental is no good for recording. Beware.

I bought the Joyo R-15 Pre-amp House because of your video and I still play around with that thing weekly, its alot of fun for how simple it is... Im sure youll cause me to spend money down the line because I fell into the high gain rabbit hole thanks to in part to your videos as well as many other content creators... Its a fun community to be in... Keep it up, TD... 🤘

The absolute reactive FeeL and the multidimensional sound scope of the bogner Alchemist is so +OmaZing+ .Love the hempback speaker. Do a review! Also the Deliverance head is ultra.

I use my QC more than my amps/cabs or plugins now. Just convenient and great sound and feel. Would love to see you capture more amps. Ive downloaded some of your stuff already.

I almost bought the evh iconic head but decided not to because there is an EVH 100 watt stealth halfstack in my living room. Funny theres no furniture in there. Just a half stack and a PS5 rig.

Another awesome monster of an amp is the Crate GT1200H 👍🏻 Awesome power for pedals and a couple of great sounding overdrive channels on board too , try one!!

the engl savage v2 is such an amazing guitar amp for metal and almost impossible to beat in that category imo, i have the old savage 120 and will just never sell it, german build quality for the win here again! greetings from germany 🦾🎸

Lol I've been on a Rackmount buying/collecting spree the past year, since everyone's unloading theirs for plug-ins, and I'm building the Rack Amp set-up I've been wanting for over 17ish yrs of my 23yrs of playing. Lol 😆 🤣, you've definitely got me beat on the amp to Rackmount ratio though lol great vid buddy!

I've owned some of the ampsbyou have. Line 6 valve, crate blue doodoo, ampeg 140, krankenstien+, marshall valvestate. Of all these i really miss my ampeg. Its just got a good ole classic heavy sound to it thats hard to find anywhere else. My current amp (evh 5150iiis el34 100 watt head) id like to see on this channel. I wanna hear it with this style of metal. Cool video thanks for the tour.

Hearing all of those amps back to back really show that 90% of the tone is your cabinet. The differences were in the crunch and attack, but not so much in tone, spectrally speaking.

Just wanted to say absolutely love the channel and what you’re about. Hope the heavy earth pedal happens but I hope he makes those flesh rot 200 watt heads first. Keep representing the Oregon metal scene! Also try swapping 2 of the g12t-75 speakers out of the Marshall cab for 2 v30s. The two blend really well. Also you gotta try a Jackson Jeff Loomis Kelly. For a kelly fan like you I think you would love it (maybe not the pickups tho).

Really can't wait for a vid of a G1500. Properly made (by which I mean "not a dude jamming dad rock in his basement or some 14 year old playing sloppy Slayer covers and recording all that on a camera mic, so you can hear the rattling of the strings and the digital clipping better than the actual amp") metal demos of those old 80s Crates are, like, nonexistent. Wonder if it's worth searching for, since Crates were sold in Europe somewhat (that's why most of them have a voltage switch in the back), unlike the Ampegs. By the way, surprised you didn't dig the RG, have always seen them as a middle ground between the Ampeg and Engl (I guess? Or some other ultra-crisp modern tube amp).

It was really harsh. I don't know how else to describe it. There was nothing I could do to smooth it out. Maybe just doens't play well with active pickups or something 🤷‍♂️

See, that would just drive me nuts. All of those amps but yet, even with signal splitters, you can only realistically use one or two at a time. I have a hard enough time with pedals and deciding which ones I want to use at any given time and when I don't use the rest, I feel like that I'm not getting my money's worth out of them because I paid however much and it's just sitting there. There's another KZfaqr who does a 'new amp unboxing' almost 2 or 3 times a month and I swear he must have at least 60 by now. At that point, he must have a recording studio or some kind of business like that because it's almost sad to see someone spend thousands on an amplifier just to put it on a shelf and use it once or twice a year.

Welcome! It depends on the situation, but my TS9 tube screamer is always a safe bet. I haven't found something that it doesn't get along with yet.

i love my alchemist. i wish i could find someone willing to make me a way simplified version of the footswitch. all i need is to switch channels. the boost stays on. anyway, at the moment I'm just using it as a pedal platform and it's so perfect for that. Speaking of the POD bean.. POD XT Live in storage that I haven't used in forever, assuming it sounds like garbage compared to modern amp sims. Quick question, I see you have a ring, assuming you are engaged.. How do you strategize playing through cabs to create and record? Sound proofing or just specific hours of the day?
