My Head & My Heart | Ava Max | Super Mario Paint Cover Using Only the Default Heart Sounds

6 ай бұрынAs the title says, this is a one-instrument cover I made for Ava Max's "My Head & My Heart", a song heavily inspired by ATC's "Around the World".
I made a soundfont file with eight iterations of the default soundfont's Heart (bass) instrument in order to make this project possible. I also volume-adjusted them to enhance overall sound. Furthermore, I edited the application's appearance to match the new soundfont. The key is A natural minor and the BPM is 119. I hope you enjoy.

It's quite impressive how good it sounds despite every single voice having the same timbre I thought it'd sound more "clogged up", but the melody, chords, arpeggios and bass don't overlap each other too much

Thanks! I was also fairly surprised by how well this turned out despite using the same bass-type instrument for every channel in the cover.

How'd you change everything into a heart symbol?

Firstly, I made the soundfont file using Viena. All I had to do for this part was make a new soundfont file, then copy-paste the default Heart preset from the default soundfont to it eight times. I later went back to change the volume of each preset according to what I required for this. Secondly, for the visual mod, I copy-pasted and recolored the Heart sprites over the first 8 channels' sets of sprites. Then, I removed the top bar sprites for the other 23 channels, and changed the staff background to a light grey. Hope that helps.
