A big reason AFO took in Shigaraki was just to troll All Might lol. Not the whole reason, but a good part of it.

Nana actually means Seven in japanese, considering she’s the seventh holder of OFA. The author of the series often likes to have traits of the characters related to their names, another example would be Midori-ya (Midori)=Green.

Horikoshi is also known for multilingual puns - so it's entirely possible he chose Nana as the specific nine-related word, as a reference to the "Nana" meaning Grandmother, as well.

no matter how good your reaction is, you need the best highlights. you knew beforehand if you pay attention nana shimura and shigaraki tomura dont share a name. you are cute understand, just enjoy. cute girls watching anime? NO, the hottest babes on youtube and they react to anime. feels like Christmas everyday but they put on the classic dumb face, why cant reactors just react? yes there are unexpected moments but who alone at home lasts 30 seconds with their mouth wide open and honestly if you do go check yourself.

Endeavor and All Might's relationship are literally just like Bakugo and Midoriya. Even with their bad communication, All Might and Midoriya just take anything Endeavor and Bakugo said as encouragement, a push to work harder. And Endeavor and Bakugo does everything to surpass All Might and Midoriya. (Except so far Bakugo is better than Midoriya, just the time being) And I'm touched that All Might thought that he cant die. Some heroes just thought they shouldn't care if they die as long they could win and save people. But All Might thought he can't die leaving his student on his own, just like what happened to himself and his master.

All Might is actually closer to 50 years old. (49), and Nana is shown to be clearly older than him in the flashback. So for Tomura to be 18-ish/early 20's, makes her a lot older than him.

i believe all might is actuslly the oldest OFA wielder ever until deku grows up, first couple died young because of AfO and then shimura got killed, all might was really just built different and damn near beat AfO

@@sangun123 Yeah, All Might is easily the oldest of the wielders, simply due to the fact that he was the one to turn the tide. AFO ruled the entire underworld and OFA wielders were dropping like flies, just barely passing the quirk on. Essentially an all-out war until All Might finally won against AFO for the first time. There's some other stuff, of course, but that should come up in the anime in like 2 episodes, so I'll refrain from spoiling.

All might is 55 at the Least...... All might was given One for All by Nana Shimura when he was around Midoriya's age....so 15. All Might kept One for all for 40 years according to the statements made.....So all Might is at the very least 55 Years old when he meets Midoryia......

Holy hell this episode was a masterpiece. I think everyone was teary watching. They did such a phenomenal job of making you feel like you were in the audience watching the fight too.

It's the quintessential "All Might fanboy" video. Just like Deku watching All Might rescue all those people as a small kid, we are now watching All Might beat AFO. People even often go back and watch exactly this fight again, just like Deku watched that rescue video countless times. The episode perfectly accomplishes what it sets out to do.

Both sub and dub were great but personally hearing Endeavor yell “STAND UP AND SHOW THEM WHY YOU’RE BETTER” was a lot more iconic than “what is with that pitiful back” 🤦🏽♂️

This episode is one of the best, but a little heads up on ages: Shigaraki is in his early 20's, not his teens. All Might is most likely in his late 40's not in his 30's

This episode was really emotional. But I really love AFO as a villain. He seems so simple for such a complex world. But he's also really petty. He's just poking and prodding at All Might to see what makes him fall apart. And it nearly works. But even if he took away his Master, even if he's corrupted his Master's grandson and turned him against heroes, All Might still fights. Because he is here!

He's simple, his motives are simple, his quirk is simple, his past is simple, and yet, that's what makes him so interesting in a such complex story with deep characters, in a way that simplistic aspect makes the show even deeper, there's no need for him to be complex, he's the big bad guy, and in here, it works perfectly

Great reaction! Really enjoyed watching with you - it takes a stony heart to remain dry eyed with this one. I think you're the only reactors I've seen who picked up on the "Shimura" name dropped in the previous episode. All Might is much older than you think - he's not in his 30’s, he’s 49 years’ old.

In fact, the 49-year-old is also false information, in the manga it was confirmed that he is 55 years old, which was easy to calculate in the first place taking into account some details.

It is a result, the OFA was born by chance after all. And it's easy to tell when you see a kid with exactly the same kind of powers and even uses the same names on his attacks as Allmight's.

Hey, All Might tried to kill All for One before, it didn’t stick. Maybe prison is the better option. Personally, I’d put AFO under the most potent anesthetic and shoot him into space, but I’m probably just being paranoid

Not sure if you’ll see this, but the Japanese-Kanji for Nana is Seven, which is in reference to her being the 7th One For All Quirk user, Deku and All Might have the same number thing going on in their names as well as the first six users of the Quirk

What all for one's quirk actually does is he take away quirks from other people so he then has that persons quirk he can also give his stolen quirks to other people and so the quirk that he gave away he can't use it anymore because he doesn't have it anymore

I love the sub more than the dub personally but I will say I loved Endeavors line in the dub for this scene. Instead of saying "What is with that pitiful back!?" he says "Stand up and show them why you're better!" acknowledging that even though he is bitter about always having been only number 2 he recognizes that All Might will always be "better" than him, even if Endeavor does become stronger than All Might he will never be the "number 1 hero" in everyones hearts. (Atleast until he hopefully gets some character progression that helps him become a better person in the future, here's hoping since he is a genuinely cool character when it comes to his design and quirk)

I hate that substitution. Endeavour is commenting on All Might's physical appearance. He feels like he's been looking at All Might's back his whole life, striving to catch up to him, and now suddenly the object of his envy is disappearing.

@@dajtoad1 Agreed. Endeavor has mixed feelings about the fact that All Might, whom he sacrificed everything for and could not overcome, is now about to be defeated by his enemy. So he swears and inspires All Might. Changing the dialogue would change his refractive character itself.

That in fact is an incorrect info that went viral, in the manga it is confirmed that Allmight had the OFA for 40 years and is added to the fact that he was 15 when he met Nana leaves as a result an approximate of 55.
