Im enjoying the show but manga readers i need to get your thoughts on my questions at the end of the reaction!!

Honestly animation was never my problem, I think it looks great, the only problem I had this season was the censorship, I can't blame studio bones for that, but just toho animation , since they don't want to stream MHA for mature audiences

You know how it is when you read a book (or a manga or graphic novel), and the picture or “movie” in your head is more vivid and detailed than what may eventually get produced in real life? I think it’s like that for the manga readers who aren’t liking some of the animation decisions being made this season. I’m not one of them. For me as a Manga reader, Season Six is meeting or exceeding my expectations in some areas. In terms of production, this year is much better than Season Five, IMO. Last season, it was Covid/quarantines/shutdowns and the studios having to navigate all of that and still stay on schedule to get shows out. There’s a rumor that at least one of the episodes during the “MVA” portion was completed HOURS before broadcast, even. So if last year was choppy, this year is MUCH better in comparison. Also, Kohei Horikoshi’s artwork has ramped up to SSS-Tier over the years, and his art has notoriously been difficult to “faithfully” reproduce for animation. So consistently, some moments in the anime may not turn out as detailed as some manga readers crave. Lastly, not all of the animation decisions go through Bones. There’s also the “Production Committees” (money people) who have veto power over how some scenes are produced. Personally, I blame them first for slow-walking some of the more graphic parts or cutting out sequences that turn out to be important MUCH LATER. Can’t say what they didn’t animate for now, but in the manga currently, some earlier production omission decisions are going to haunt them when they finally get to producing them. I’m hoping thr “production committee” gets out of Bones’s way! Anyway, Season Six is a wild ride, and I’m all aboard for it!

Toga's question for Uraraka is one of the core and most fascinating things about My Hero for me. It's those deep, philosophical questions about human worth in a larger society that this story exists to explore and dissect. I love how you focused in on that here!

12:45 - With the quirk DNA there could be access to the quirk as we see with the Nomu having quirks of people that are dead to use. We see this with Shirakumo (Eraser head's friend that was turned into Kuroguri - the warp gate villain in jail). So his conscienceness was still there in his quirk after he died. AFO has a big connection to tap into that more so with being one who steals quirks to use from people and specifically the connection with OFA.

The moral compass is definitely is definitely a big topic this season and the villains albeit they provoked the response still highlights the length that the hero society will go. Stabbed in the back is cowardly but probably justified to many given what twice was capable of. Quirks arent single owner like devil fruits but as unique as ones DNA given how they are passed through family generations. Ie endeavor and shoto.

Good thing with anime only is that we can still enjoy the ep and not have to constantly compare it to the manga, I'm loving this season so far and it's definitely the best since the first 2

Quirks are DNA based, and even Assassin's Creed scientifically explained about DNA holding memories. And a personality is, on a base level, the culmination of memories that someone experienced. So I think All Might's also in Deku's quirk, he's just not fully active yet. Probably because he can't use 100% of One for All without it breaking his body, like All Might did. Which, maybe that was All Might's unknown/inactive quirk that was never found out, just like the original One for All holder's quirk

@12:02 deku came to the "void world" before when he first awakened black whip through his dreams remember.. but he wasn't able to do it at will because of his level of control in one for all.

12:45 - Consciousness in quirks is only available for OFA and AFO, presumably because there is (or was) more than one user - Quirks are not available when someone dies. They are only passed through genes, unless it’s a mutation and it’s something different entirely. Of course this doesn’t apply to OFA or AFO since those quirks can be transferred

I agree, the animation last week was the same great quality as it always is. It's not supposed to look like bleach's animation because that's not this anime's animation style. Of course Ochaco (Deku, and most other heroes) wouldn't want to kill Toga they'd what to help her. Toga doesn't understand that this isn't the time for the type of conversation she want to have. Right now Gigantomachia is headed towards them and Ochaco is trying to evacuate citizens.

I'd never considered the rebirth of a quirk before! That's such an interesting concept! If I had to wager a guess, I'd expect that once a person dies, their quirk goes with them (unless it's used for a nomu). A person's quirk is a part of their DNA, so it stands to reason that the only way to pass it down would be by having children. Otherwise families wouldn't have such similar quirks to each other -- it would be more random. Either way though, I love the creative thought experiment! Maybe this theory is the reason for mutated quirks like Eri's rewind!

Regarding the animation quality as a manga reader, I think the hate is overblown. Yes I wish we could've had S-tier (as you put it), but it's my opinion that asking for that quality 100% of the time is unrealistic. What we got was good and there are so many more moments coming up in this season that also deserve S-tier that they're going to have to pick and choose their battles if they don't want to run out of budget and time early on. The most important thing is that they get the heart of the series across to the audience, which they've done in every episode so far this season. I would've been so much more unhappy if they had cut Katsuki's backflash or Toga's questions for Ochako to give us more sakuga than what we got. Yes they cut some gore, but they've already done that so much that being upset about it now seems besides the point. Considering how thoughtlessly Bones adapted season 5, I find it unfortunate that so many people are complaining about basic censorship and overall decent animation when we know how bad it could've been. The final product is enjoyable for new viewers and translates the story to the screen well. Things will always get lost in adaptation and expectations don't always meet reality. That's ok.

imo once you've read the Manga it hard not to have expectations because of how great the author is with the pen.

I'll call that hypocritical thinking ?cuz you have to think about how many bodies did toga and twice catch. Who said not killing a villain makes it going too far? Sometime killing is necessary think about it like this. If Batman killed Joker early on he'll receive thousands of lives that shouldn't been wasted in the cemetery from the Joker's gas his torture or many other things and we'll have set a tone for villains before they were to get out there.

They don't have to be as detailed as bleach but they didn't have to "ocean dub" the episodes also... the bulk of it remains the same it just waters down the gravity or severity of the situation like with miriko (rabbit hero) she lost both her arm and leg but they had no problem showing eraser head cut off his leg? It doesnt make sense.. they're both the same level of graphic if you're going to show one show both

MHA manga fans are toxic as hell. I'm a manga reader and every new chapter, the comments are full of complaining. It doesn't even make sense. I keep seeing people say the animation is bad like what?

Gotta keep it 💯 This episode turned out to be underwhelming due to the fact that last week's episode had the Bakugou shock factor at the end. However, in this one, we had 90% of the vestige world still frames meet up then toga and ochako. I'm well aware that this arc focuses on the topic of hero and villain, but it's just that the way it was paced, makes it look like a throw away episode. But animation and pacing a side tho, I am genuinely worried about the censorship ruining the conclusion of this arc and the upcoming arc in second half. Studio Bones is REQUIRED to actually adopt the manga art style for this next arc because it will be a whole new atmosphere and vibe. If they're not able to do that because of those censorship laws, then people are gonna be PLUS ULTRA PISSED. To give minor hints about why the art style needs to be changed a bit is because in the manga. Horikoshi surprised everyone when MHA art became rough and gritty. And he continued to develop it throughout the chapters with iconic panels after panels.
