Bakugou and izuku go thru a lot of it in japanese contexts (they both represent two personality types in japanese culture). Izuku is still developing. Blackwhip, togachako, kirimina, jiroudenki, shoto etc is used as a metaphor for dekus own feelings and development. Its intriguing really how subtle but a lot dekus character development is. Whereas bakugou is very overt and obvious. But arguably as of this chapter bakugou outpaced izukus character development more. As for one piece? What character development? Its the same personality doing a repeat every arc with the brain of an aircloud. Heck plot wise it isnt developed much either. It feels more like an eternal soap opera of 'days of our lives' where it is the same subplot every episode. Thats your thing. Fine. It works for some stories like one piece and dragonball to have zero thinking required. But bnha is a more character driven story rather than plot driven (usually shonen prefers plot driven over character driven). I get you dont read a lot considering when the literacy community talks about development, its almost always about character development and you genuinely did not know this 😅, but at least know when to compare the right story types. Comparing one piece to bnha is like comparing a comedy sitcom (friends) to a dark fantasy/sci fi series like stranger things. Same media. Completely different types of story types and driving force.

Its in character. It did not come out of left field. You get a hint of him wanting to talk to Deku when bakugou confesses to allmight about how he thinks about deku. Allmight tells him he will get his chance to talk to izuku and this is while uraraka, sero and froppy are unknowingly (at the time) helping izuku train for his other quirks and bakugou is just watching in the corner after he already helped train izuku earlier (catch a kacchan with blackwhip game). How did you all miss that?.. bakugou was doing all that he could to atone before apologizing but was worried about izukus life and never being able to tell him. Izuku running away forced him to apologize sooner than he wanted but he was prepping for it even before that chapter. You also get a hint of it when they have dinner with shotos family. Bakugous face is shown explicitly when deku told shoto he doesnt have to forgive his father but probably is preparing to forgive him because hes kind. His head is also turned to endeavor while carrying dishes because katsuki is more apprehensive about a life without izuku than he lets on (i mean dude has been saving only izuku up until jirou) . He also had a inner monologue detailing that he felt like dying at the sight of izuku nearly getting killed. I dont know why you are all so determined to be spoonfed, but it would help if you all bothered to read and piece together clues because it is so much more fun. When you blink and go omg and flip back some 30 chapters to see the tiny panel that hinted at it all along. You want spoonfed, in your face, no thinking required... i suggest you read dragonball or one piece.

Two reasons Either Bakugo had a character development, but stays in his outmost character (the tsundere one that could kill you, and still mocking Deku for being weak, but respects him) Or He had more things that mindfully measures his own worth as a hero, and also a student in UA. Either those two reason could be the answer.

Perhaps they'll find a way to tie them together: like Aizawa gets through to Kurogiri and they use the warp to bring everyone together for a final fight. Perhaps AFO will get desperate and summon all the High end Nomus to help, and the supporting characters will arrive (perthaps with recovery girl giving them a boost) and take on the Nomu's to avoid them interferring with Deku... Sero/Sato and Ojirou's moment could be help round everone from the seperated areas

I felt just a two-page spread of 1B clearing a path for 1A. I also feel both Sero and Ojirou are due a moment of rescuing Shoto.... as their biggest roles were being contrast to how OP he is, haha. That's why I feel this final needs to somehow include the rest of 1A in SOME way...just to show Deku NOT regret leaving on his own.

I feel it'd break canon for Bakguou to be able to take on AFO solo, BUT it might show growth for Bakugou to simply be trying to egg AFO on, and cause him to chase HIM to get him away from Shigaraki.

Haha sidenote, the biggest flub for me in the series is Hagakure never really got a chance to (figuratively, she literally does this a lot) shine in terms of a stealth mission. Steath's her one thing afterall, and she never really did any stealth attacks. Here's how i would've defeated Nine in Rising: he's in his storm god mode, but we emphasize he's on his last legs and if he doesnt' steal the kid's regen Quirk soon he's done. Suddenly super Sayan versions of Deku and Bakugou show up like in the film, BUT with not indication how. Nine panics and unleashes all his power at them.... only to realize they were an illusion made by the little girl. This causes him to lose all strength, causing the Dragon heads holding the real Baku and Deku to vanish, and in that one moment the two of them THEN launch in and send him flying. THAT would've been a much more "clever" way to defeat him, AND would've actually given a nice tie in to the girl's QUirk, which was wasted in the final fight. ALSO instead of Bakugou having his way entirley with the Mummy guy, I would've had the two of locked iin a stand still, and hand Hagakure simply cross chop mummy in the neck, which nobody would've seen coming (literally) AND made Mummy no completely wuss out. ALSO ALSO, in the final fight I would've at least had Hagakure illuminating the cave and stand with the civilian's, and would've showed Koda keeping the livestock calm in the cave as well.

....you clearly dont read any of the back panels the author writes about their quirks. Like most quirk people, his body is built up and immune to the bomb effects. He has a higher tolerance for heat, bombs, explosions, impacts and even recoils. As noted in the same sheet, he can explode at will without sweat but the sweat helps a ton.
