My Hobby Room Tour - 4K

I do not know about you but I love watching other people's workspaces and hobby rooms. Therefore I decided to do a little tour to my hobby room, showing my workspace, paints, tools and off course my display cases. In addition I quickly show my stash although I might do a separate video with more detailed look on each kit.
I hope you find this video interesting and entertaining.

That's what I'm talking about , well put together and organized.. It helps when you have some room to work with.. That's just something I don't have but I make do with what I've got.. Enjoyed the video, thanks for sharing this with us.👍

I understand that you need to sacrifice a whole room but damn it I think I deserve it. It took me 15 years of my adult life to have my own study and I am extremely happy 😊.

Really nice hobby room and awesome looking work. Really love the paint organizers, I have a few Hobby Zone pieces and love them. As a drummer, I enjoyed the music, relaxing! Thanks.

Thanks man. My dream will be to replace all the custm shelvings with hobbyzone pieces. They are awesome, but my current layout leaves no space. Also, I'm glad you mentioned the music as I spend hours searching for chill and relaxing music.

Thank you. I cannot believe how many paints, tools and model kits I accumulate over the years. I have started only 5 years ago with one rattle can, two paint pots, an exacto knife and a pot of cement. Now I basically have a dedicated room for my hobby.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners I'm the same way, I built a lot of models years ago with nothing but tube glue and a nail file. I got back into the hobby a couple of years ago after retiring. Now I have a dedicated room, loaded with all kinds of paints, tools and kits. There are just so many cool kits out there, it's hard to stop buying them. Have a great day. Jeff

Wow, wish that I could be so tidy. I have a six bedroom house and despite the boys starting to leave home I have been banished to my shed for modelling.

You have to claim your hobby room and I know from experience that means dispute with your partner and children. The truth is that it is very rare to have support from your family as to them modelling seems like a waste of space/time. Anyway at the very least you still have your own space. I remember in my previous house I constantly needed to unpack everything from boxes, laying everything out and working on the models for a few days but eventually as we needed the space put everything away and repeat the same process every time I wanted to model.

Most of my stuff is wargaming at this point historicals and fantasy. Tons of scales 1/285-28mm for gaming. Looks nice!

Great setup! As far as I can see you don't have straigt specialization in our Hobby, I mean you build any models you like in any scale (armor, cars, aircraft, modern etc) Just like I do. Happy Modelling!

Great point! Yes I like almost everything. From armour, planes, bikes, trucks, miniatures etc. Life is about variety which is true for this hobby as well.

love your space! Epic cave you have there.. Question: 9:38 in the video, the warhammer 40k book collection. Which collection is that?

Thanks, I love my cave as well. The collection is the Warhammer 40K Legends collection from Hachette. It was a 100 issues subscription with 100 books that cost me £1000 back then (competed 5 years ago). Some people on ebay or Facebook marketplace they sell it for half the price if you are interested.

Thanks very much for sharing the video of your hobby room … it looks fantastic and very well organized. I’m curious about the dimensions of your room as the combination of hobby / work / gaming is exactly what I’m after. My room is 9’ x 9’ and incorporating my gaming rig has not been possible. I’m guessing the width or your room is similar to mine but is quite a bit longer. Thanks again

Thank you very much. My room has dimensions of 5m x 3m (you can convert it into feet). I literally use every inch of this space as it is quite small room. But I guess I should not complaining and I am quite happy with my setup. Good luck with yours 😀

Hey George I'm curious as to what the R's are for on the tamiya paint jars?

Hi Gordon. You have good eye 😂. The "R" stands for "Ready" which means that I added thinner (5ml) and it is ready to use on airbrush.

Do you wear your half mask even when using the booth?

Yes I do. Even though the booth extract most of the particles still some bounce back (I can see them as a mist) to my face so I still use my respirator mask.

George, where is the Sister of Battle sculpt from? Collecting Bolter Bit..., Adaptus Sororitas I mean, too

It is not a sculpt but a Mcfarlane action figure. Usually the detail is not great in those but the Battle Sister looks amazing. If you are not familiar with these figures just google them. This is the artist proof version which mean it comes unpainted.

@@GeorgeModellingforBeginners Thanks George. 40k and AoS/WhFB is where I started with the hobby - 20 years by now, still adding a small army per year. Did see your awesome EB48, I run TRF in 1/10 but only casual. Lately I keep YT rather in the background, that's why you usually don't see me commenting, I have yours and others stuff in my subscription feed I always watch. Keep up the good vids, looking forward to the next one.

@Tankbrusher Scale Modeling we have a lot of common ground in hobbies, 40k, rc racing, and armour modelling. I just started on these (1 year on RC racing and a year and a half on 40K). Thank you for watching my small channel. Expect a mixture of all these but primarily focus on 1/35 scale. I am working on my first diorama at the moment. Great fun. Finally, do not pressure yourself regarding YT content. Just create and post at your own pace, is my opinion.
