I have lived in a government quarter for 16 years since I was born. It was a BHEL quarter just like your house. Ese gharo ki baat hi alag hoti h. In quarters m life bohot peaceful hoti h. Bade bade angan aur ghar k age peeche kafi space hoti h. Aam amrud ke bade ped lage hote h, jo aap kisi flat ya chhote duplex m nahi laga skte. I miss that home and those days. Enjoy while you are there ❤

I got really emotional after watching it. I felt it the way you expressed your thoughts. I also used to live in government quarters but now I have shifted to my own house. And the pain of losing that home, the pain of not being able to see that home again really hurts my heart. I miss that house a lot because I lived there for 25 years. When I lived in that house, I wanted to move out to another city to enjoy my life but as soon as I realized that I would have to leave that house at some point, I realized how important that house was to me. . I have many memories of that house. I spent my childhood there. And now I really regret why I never wrote a diary in my life. It's a really good habit, I should have tried it at least that time. I feel like I am not attached to my new house, I just want to go back to that old house again. Still I have not changed that address in my Aadhar card. All my friends, my childhood, my neighbors, my memories, everything is now left behind. Now I only have memories of that time. I cried after watching this video, thanks for this vlog.

Loved your Vlog . I so identify with your thoughts and feelings . I too grew up in allotted government housing . But yet it was home to us . I too have fond memories of shabby walls ,peeling paint that mom covered with pages from old telephone directory , Banaras sari curtains , up cycled bottles that became vases and more ❤❤❤❤❤

It was so soothing to watch your video. You said in your video that the quality of your video is not that great because you shoot and edit from your phone. But I think the USP of your vlogs is this simplicity. In this world of chaos we all are seeking that simplicity, peace and calmness in one way or the other which your vlogs are providing. Keep it up and don't change your style even after you switch from phone to more sophisticated gadgets. Aapke prayaason aur apna paripekshya hum sab tak pahuchane k liye apka bahut dhanyawaad. 🙏

The house is actually very beautiful. I also lived more than 20 years in Govt. House. I find one of your comment where you said that 'Architect here made big varanda than house'. Actually the house you are living were made for Govt. employee who take care of horses of English people before 1947. The baramda used for Horse rest and everything. Each employee have to take care of one Horse.

I too grew up in a government house. It was modest but very special. My most valued childhood memories are in that house and the neighborhood. I immigrated to US and have been living here for past 23 years. Strangely I do not have much memories built in last 23 years, can’t say if it’s called growing up but seems like a bad deal. I am the kind of person who gets attached to home, you might find it strange but most of today’s young generation find it difficult to relate with what’s it’s like to be attached to the home - it’s walls, nooks n corners, the garden, backyard. I am among the lucky ones to have known it to be true and to still have a very much living breathing relationship with my childhood days in that home 🏡 Enjoy every moment and wishing you more such happy places in future!

Yes exactly ,I also lived in govt quarters of bhilai steel plant which comes under SAIL . My father was not an executive so we lived in small 1 bhk quarter for 15 yrs till 2010 . Those years were the best years of lives because although we lived in small quarter but the society and children and numerous grounds nearby with govt schools of steel plant add a special part in my life . One thing best was the quarters were surrounded by numerous trees specially mangoes ,jamun with blackberry ,guavas ,almond etc . During spring and summer we always waited for wind so that mangoes would fall and we all as children with uncles and aunties ran to collect them first . We enjoyed a lot . During electric break at night all people would come out of house and roam the streets as electric breaks were usual that time . There were no smart mobiles so everyone was socially active in person .we all used to play badmintons and small children games like hide and seek ,nadi pahad ,Gilli danda at evenings and nights during holidays . Since 2010 we are living in our own house as my father built a big house with 5 bedrooms . I lived in 3 different cities after I got job . But after our departure from that quarter I never felt the same happiness of those 15 years in our own house in my hometown or in Pune ,Bangalore etc although we have almost everything from gadgets to cars but mostly people are glued to their Instagram and mobile phones and streets are empty . People and children are either at their homes or cafes or restuarants clicking pictures only . There are hardly big trees since private colonies don't have big trees as space is limited . I wish I could go back in time and didnt leave the quarter for atleast 5 more years .

Amazingly executed 👍 video whatever you wanted to tell the viewers has nicely reached the audience with same feelings and emotions that you hold, even I live in government quarters by grace of my father and indeed the best days are spent in these houses 🏘️ no fancy walls, paints , balcony but still the antique vibes that these Quarters hold are just incomparable to any other they most of the greenery you will find near these houses just like any other countryside vintage houses, my entire childhood memories are in these govt.quraters and soon we might also shift to new house but these quarters will have my heart and soul forever ♾️❤️
