Kelly - I discovered your channel a few years ago. Your recent transformation is inspiring. I lost my son, my father, and my brother all within three years (cancer, dementia, heart attack respectively). My Montana home sold last year (24 rooms) and everything was sold or donated, and my new beginning is in Florida where I showed up with two suitcases and purchased everything new. Grief is a learning journey, but I will always be forever thankfull for my family. Thank you for celebrating with us in moving forward with a grateful heart.

I’m so proud of you. I haven’t kept up with you or really any of my favorite channels in awhile so I didn’t know you had split from your husband. My husband of 31 years left me in August and I had to clean out the house to get it ready to sell, sell it and move into a travel trailer. I’m trying to start over and this video really inspires me.

You are such an inspiration! I teared up a bit when you showed your lovely collection of angels from your mother. How precious. Treasured memory to her is so loving and respectful. I'm sure she's proud of you! You and your daughters did awesomely on your new beginnings! I admire how you have dealt with deep heartache and fought your way to beautiful! I love the sayings you have all around. Your home reveals thoughtful creativity and a ton of love! Also, you have courage that you tried some of those challenging projects! To me, your decorating speaks of your strong and righteous character. It could only have come from a heart of love, forgiveness, and joy! (Not to diminish what you've endured.) I started using decorative towels in my bathroom shortly after spending some time off the coast of Oregon 15 year's ago. I cleaned a few houses there before moving back home. All the wealthy home owners on the coast had decorative towels. I liked the idea and began doing this in my own apartment. I don't think it's odd at all to use towels for decorating. 🙂

The trick to drywall repair is- you cut the piece an inch or so larger. Then turn to chalk side and cut the chalk away to size of hole. Dont cut the paper! When you put the piece into hole it should be tight but flush. Then mud over the edges and sand. Happy drywall repair!

I was so taken by your honesty. And the fact that you trusted us your viewers with what is such a heart breaking event happen to your family. I can not speak for everyone but I was touched. Proud of you Kelly,the girls &u done a great look with the home decor,also the landscaping, along with weed eating, mowing,on top of the landscaping, well i know that goes with me but u done a great job on everything and it dosen't matter what others think as long as you &the kiddos r happy 31 yrs for me & lost a child to COVID trying to do my best &keep mind occupied and Im glad to see you with alot of strength, courage,&looking @the positive things, Yes would love to see you decorate your mantel, i need to do.mine but cant get in mood. You did a terrific job on the attic entry, as well as your entire home! Years ago they used to bronze shoes, so your mother's baby shoes are most likely bronzed. A suggestion: you can put your can goods in bins from Dollar Tree and pull them out like you do for your spices.

I also went through a difficult divorce and at the age of 72 I am living in my own place for the first time. Just finding what I like for myself. That is so important. I love the decorative towels. I love the look of those in a bathroom. You have inspired me to clean out my closets and redecorate using things I already have on hand. A decluttered and clean house is a wonderful de-stressor. I am so ready to declutter and de-stress!

I have a tray with pretty paper napkins specifically for drying hands at my sink in the bathroom, they are oblong. Hey Kelly, beautiful fresh start ur doing an amazing job I love that u bought a saw for yourself u go girl !!! If you have a drywall problem again we here in Maine call that drywall mud or u can get speed set back to patching a wall when u put the mud on or speed set, when it drys u need to sand it to make smooth. I think what u did was amazing love the pics of ur mom and dad I miss my parents too 😢 and my sister. U did a beautiful job I love everything u did congratulations 🎊 I'm hoping to do the same waiting to have hip surgery anyway.thank you for inviting us into ur home God bless ❤

Love love your new old home. Lol! I have textured walls and am liking them too much. My favorite is how you decorated above your cabinets. You gave me tons of inspiration. Me husband and I rent our condo so there's not much we can do to change things but we can make them a little better with decor. Love your channel and yup our DIYs.

Impressive rebound. I love the home improvement projects. You should be reinspired to continue this new journey. I am surviving my divorce even though it's been over 5 years, It took me longer to find DIY projects to motivate me. Great video. Keep making videos like this. It helps people like me ❤️

Looks so amazing 🌸!! I did the same after my divorce. I didn’t realize the negative affects my house had on me, until we redecorate it. The kids and I made it our new home. Now when we walk in it feels great and like a new home.

Great job!!!! Big inspiration for your children!! My girls are the same way they do for themselves and research the job they want to conquer! My granddaughter is 24 and is a great diy herself and she also has learned to research before she does her projects! Keep it up and keep being positive! We who follow are proud of you!

I like that the decorative towels are obvious decoration and not just pretty towels. It has to save on confusion if a guest uses the bathroom.

Deb here. Okay to have decorative towels but there is nothing worse when using someone 's bathroom and there is no towel to dry your hands. I went in a bathroom and was perplexed on what towel to use since the only towels looked like bath towels. If course the one I chose had dog hair all over it.

Kelly absolutely love your home it is exactly my taste. I love it is eclectic it gives it personality and uniqueness. You did such a wonderful job on fixing the whole in the wall. Your landscaping is beautiful and I know that had to be very challenging but worth it in the end. And always love seeing Winnie such a sweetie.
