I noticed that in Korea they always use the steroids shots so I asked my dermatologist about it and she told me I shouldn't do it cause it can cause more acne. Then I remember you mentioned a out your breakout so I stopped insisting about it.

this is the first time im hearing someone breaking out cause of acne injection shots. usually my dermatologist will say the steroid helps calm the inflammatory response thats why the cystic acne disappears overnight. i never had the outbreak from said injections but personally i hate getting steroid shots as well as it can also cause pitted scars. it's weird your derm didn't gave you topical benzoyl peroxde + clindamycin cream to avoid future breakouts specially on the area injected.

Thank you for having the courage to be honest with us. Those people who get mad at you are stupid and are not really your supporters. Just the fact that after getting a discount you were still willing to talk about some of the things that disappointed you as well as the things you liked, makes you all the more genuine. I don't think it's wrong for bloggers/youtubers to get discounts etc. It's just another job. My mom is a teacher and gets a teacher discount at various stores. It only makes sense that a company would reward you for basically promoting them (through your video). It would only be wrong if you allowed that to skew your perspective and only gave them positive reviews just because they gave you a discount/sent you the product for free, etc. You seem very authentic lately (not that you haven't before) and I think you true supporters will appreciate your honesty. Thank you for sharing. I really admired your guts to do all laser in a day. I tried carbon laser which the face painted with liquid carbon over the face which penetrates deep into pores instead of numbing cream. Don’t feel hurt but can smell burning if got to face hair. But was quite worry each time the laser flash on the face. But end result is good.Recommend don’t do it too often,as it will thin our skin.

Thanks for being so honest about your experience and sharing the price. I'm now living in korea as a student and just started getting laser treatments for my active acne, but it was so hard finding a reputable clinic that wasn't overpriced/overcharging me because I'm a foreigner. It's hard even now since no clinics post price estimates, and consultations cost around 30,000 won just to get the price estimate. Plus, most vloggers never post how much their magical treatment cost them so I can't tell if I would get a better deal somewhere else. Anyways, in case anyone's curious: my acne treatment costs around 480,000 won for 3 sessions. They also wanted to bundle in the vbeam laser for acne scars but it brought to total to around 800,000 won and that was out of my price range. My tip is to ask for bundles and check for seasonal discounts. Also take advantage of the doctor if you're ever in a room with one. They often charge you for a consultation so come prepared with all your questions about treatment options/prices/medications ect. because unless you're doing a major treatment it'll just be the estheticians handling your care and you'll never see doctor-nim again lmao.

Hey Joan, just an advice, I think as a beauty blogger you switch up your skincare and makeup too often and that will cause breakout. I have super sensitive and acne prone skin but once I stick to something that for sure won’t break me out and I use it straight for months and slowly add something if needed my skin is stable.
