After their first mini album is released, it is now the perfect time to talk about XG and what I truely think about them. Spoilers: They are great.

Harvey being bullied before because of her voice and the fact that she's into hip hop when she was younger but never heard someone with the same voice as her in the game is such a huge statement to me. Simon made her embrace her unique voice and gave her the most powerful and intimidating lines despite her cute tone. "Bow down, Get back..." "You call it cocky? I call it true". You and your unique voice made it to the hip-hop/RnB scene now, Harvey. I'm so proud of you!

They aren't acting out hiphop. They're not delivering what they're being told will sell. They LOVE hip hop and RNB, they are students of the old school game. You can feel the difference in every song, dance, performance and outfit.

other group may be more popular, but no one else comes close to the talent, guts, hunger, and drive that these queens have. they don’t have a built-in fanbase from big companies with famous seniors, but everywhere they go they dominate.

I'm old skool & I haven't across a group with as much raw talent & unmatched charisma like XG in a VERY long time. They have an elite rapline who can spit like some real G's, a vocal line that sounds like angels, & they are basically an elite dance crew on top of it all. They are like 7 individual superstars that came together to form a super group called XG. They should 1000% be 1000x bigger than they already are. The planet seriously needs to recognize the greatness of these 7 young queens.

XG is the formula for those who will in the near future try and cater to the western market. XG’s organic growth has by far been an incredible spectacle to witness. But what sets them up for greatness is how hard they’ve worked and their many influences (from the late 90’s early 2000’s) as the rest of the industry tries to follow suit and emulate them, XG will continue to break boundary after boundary. They’re a promising group of Xtraordinary Girls bound for greatness! 🐺♾️

The main reasons why xg is still not that super duper big is because they are not from the big 4 company of kpop but it's still better because they can create their own artistic approach with their music and they really shine with their own talent dedication and hard work with this kind of environment♥️.we are witnessing the upcoming greatness of xg

Main issue is the Korean general public/Korean K-Pop fans dislike them because they're an all Japanese group promoting in Korea. Lots of xenophobia and resentment towards Japan in Korea unless Japanese people specifically follow Korean culture (where as XG is doing R&B music in English). There really weren't a lot of ethnically Japanese idols in major groups before Twice and IZ*ONE became popular.

@@jmedakwon You don't have to be well liked to appear on Korean music shows, there's plenty of completely unknown groups/soloists that appear on them. Company pays for them to perform, artist don't get invited to shows like Inkigayo based on popularity. KCON has literally nothing to do with Koreans, international fans LOVE XG that's why they were invited to KCON LA. Unfortunately if you look at a lot of clips of XG an overwhelming majority of the comments in Korean are extremely negative. English-speaking and Japanese fans are the majority of their fanbase, which tbf probably brings them more revenue than Korea alone ever could.

@@hallyuniverse I agree with you that many Koreans love & buy XG music, but other countries provide more profit. Even Kpop albums have the most revenue in Japan & some Kpop groups also make albums in the Japanese language. This is a sign of gratitude aimed specifically at Japan. These K-pop groups are honored to be considered part of the Jpop scene & some rise to global popularity. Unfortunately, XG will face racism in other countries just like other K-POP groups have, but fortunately, there are more loving XG fans around the world who will lessen the pain that racist jerks may cause.

Nowadays people just look for popularity than talent. Some people say IF only xg was in big 4 NO!!! their better not! Simon is a good CEO giving the girls freedom and not being controlled like other big companies working while having fun what more can a talent ask for a company. Some big gg's out now are maybe big and popular but lets be real here can they top XG interms of talent? for me NONE! I trust simon's process

no one points out as well that their lyrics are way more 'naturally' english than a lot of english versions of kpop songs that have really weird broken english and phrases, like they didn't bother letting a native english speaker check their lyrics. twice's english releases i cringe especially so

For me, they have an organic and orderly growth, no less than yesterday at the yen-dollar exchange rate they have close to 2M USD in sales, I think it is a good sum for their first EP, they also opened a new date for their concert debut in Japan, since 11,000 seats were sold, again, for a group that is barely a year and a half old, it seems quite impressive to me, not to mention that they have a show pending in the Arab Emirates and the south x southwest of Billboard, I think that the group is on the right track.

I really love how despite only one member being fluent [or more comfortable speaking] in English, all of them are able to rap and sing in English with such fluency you'd think they're natives which is incredibly hard to pull off

No, it's Ju-reen and Ju-ria. You pronounce the J, like you pronounce Japan as Jah-pan.

They were one ☝🏽 of my recommendations as I love watching Dance Crew Performers from every Country. I became a fan but I later seen a trailer for their first debut Song 🎶…i was surprised, I wasn’t super impressed yet, but then came “Mascara”. I really started paying attention after I watched their RAP line and then I was hooked. They have came a Significant Way since a year has passed. XG are absolutely 💯 ALL ROUNDERS and they truly love the genre they’re creating as the first XPop Global Group. The XGALX Team has definitely showed off the Xtraordinary Girls. Simon, Jakops is a Genius. 🙆🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥🐺

I'm a big fan of several female Kpop groups since SNSD. Then I became a Blink and Blackpink was my #1 group. During their time from 2016-present, as new groups came along I grew to like Mamamoo, (G)I-dle, Everglow, and a couple of others. The talent from these groups were impressive. I saw many people talking about this 7 member group from Japan and I dismissed it as I was too into my favorite Kpop groups. Then one day I decided to watch an XG music video called " Shooting Star" , and I was floored. What the hell, did I just watch. Then " Left Right" , I was still in shock after watching "Shooting Star". Well needless to say, I was floored again. Then the dance practices for these 2 songs. That was it ! I had to watch everything they had put out. Bye,bye Kpop I realized I've missed out on a group that as far as I'm concerned is a super group or in their words Dream Team. In my opinion XG surpassed anything that Kpop has produced as a whole group. Yes, there are many groups with incredible talent but not to the level of XG. When you discover a group that have 7 members that are top tier in every category like Rapping, singing and dance who can do hip-hop/rap mixed in with a bit of pop and have the most natural swag that's infectious to one watching them perform, well that becomes Extraordinary and XG's name is perfect. Singing in English is another wow factor. To top it all off, they're all visuals and you can see they are enjoying their music. Sorry Blackpink, but XG is without a doubt become my all time favorite female group in a "Blink" of an eye. I'm now an ALPHAZ.🤩🤩😍

Hello. I am Japanese. The members' names are pronounced differently, so I will tell you the correct pronunciation. Jurin, Juria is dʒurin/dʒuria. Pronounce "J" with "dʒ" as in June and July. Please pronounce the “Ch” in Chisa as “tʃ”. Shisa is not pronounced with "ʃ", but it has the same sound as "ch" in catch, chair, etc. In addition, XG has created a new genre called X-POP, rather than K-POP or J-POP, and has chosen to sing in English, the universal language, in order to perform music activities around the world. Singing in English is not a temporary strategy. None of the XG members speak English as their first language, but Maya graduated from an international school and can speak English fluently. thank you.

I'm sorry if you guys came off as critical. I'm Japanese myself, so I probably wouldn't be able to pronounce foreigners' names correctly. But a name is a person's identity, so I think it's best to have it as close to the original pronunciation as possible. I'm not looking for perfection. As long as everyone can do it.

All XG members are truly what an all rounder is. Not a single one is bad at any thing. Even the "worst" at rapping or the "worst" at dancing or the skill you prefer, is not bad at all, are. at least, above average in their weakest skill and that is a big accomplishment not only for the members but says a lot about their agency.

Thank you! I've talked about the western audience as a main example (besides from the asian market). Obviously english music can be listened to by anyone. And yes, you're right. I also know about the fact, that they are preparing for this debut already a loooong time and some of them know each other even before this time from the childhood. And if you see their chemistry in front and behind the camera it only makes sense.
