In this video I try and give an honest opinion on the Triumph SPEED 400. This is simply an awesome awesome awesome machine (YES I SAID IT 3 TIMES!) I think it’s one of the most handsome looking bikes available on the market particularly in that red colour with the contrast with the black details and gold suspension arms. The engine is a peach! and the bike handles like a dream. It really is a lot of bike for the money I think. It's very comfortable and is super economical.
I would suggest booking one out for a test ride if you're thinking of getting one.

This bike is definitely at the top of my list to buy. It will be my first bike too. I test rode it today and it does have everything I am looking for in a bike. Looks 10, speed is there for me so 10, technology 10, abs, led lights, comfortable seat, ride height for me is perfect, it even has anti theft device and USB port and locka le gas cap. Perfect on every level and the price out the door was just under $6,200 us dollars. I am in love.

Im 6 feet tall and this is the most perfect size bike I've ever sat on. The seat is so covetable. If it was a five hundred I'd buy one this year. But my 21 Duke 390 has more pick up and power so I'll stick with it and pray that Triumph make this exact bike a 500cc. Hi from Brisbane Australia 🦘

Great review, no body ever get's out on the motor way as you call it there. Talking about being able to flat foot, and that the bike is lite, and does not get blown around in windy conditions. These are the things I want to know. Not just power and cornering. Thanks.

Hi From France, I test it on January 31st, same great feeling on that bike, I expect a non torquy engine but no it is reasonably torquy and Reva well, exhaust sound just right, rear view very good, easy to handle brake clutch shifter. Only the fix lever could be replaced by adjustable ones. The power is just at the right level not too less not too much but still satisfying and giving motor bike feeling on which power is manageable. I don’t know if I take the blue or red?

Must say Triumph has done the best job of maintaining quality while building these small bikes in India. Of course only time will tell, but the appearance of the bike is just as lovely as the UK products. I want one to replace my missing (stolen) 1982 Honda FT500 Ascot. That bike reminded me about the sheer joy of Thumpers. Probably going to sell my 2003 Yamaha FZ1, as I don’t need all that power weight and complexity at my age.

Mine is ordered. Swapped a Harley twin cam that I didn't like. Only glitch in the process, the bike is expected in April. Wonder if that's due to some wankers lobbing missiles in the Red Sea, so causing shipping to detour around Africa.... Had a short test ride on a Speed. Shockingly good!!! Itching to ride it soon!!

I have one, there are lots of issues with the ignition - won't turn on frequently, sometimes the engine warning lit up, sometimes abs and traction control, One time the ignition completely cut off while overtaking no abs, traction control... I felt like I was going to heaven/ hell somewhere 🤣. Finally the dealer replaced the keys and immobilizer control unit ( in just 996km) The funniest thing I've seen in my 400 was the distance to empty --- it never ever showed an accurate reading. But... Everything else is pretty good and pretty impressive.

I enjoyed the video, it looks quite punchy. When its on the dual carriageway/motorway is it happy at 70 or is there more there?. I fancy getting a second bike and was thinking of the Royal Enfield 350 (fancy doing a DGR) but it seems like its at its very limit at 70, if it even gets there. Now i know it's not going to break any land speed records but i'd rather have something that was comfortable at motorway speeds if i have to use one. safety thing really.

Great review, I ordered a black Speed 400 back in Oct '23, but I will switch the footpegs and holders for the ones from the Scrambler to get a little more legroom and more open seating position as I am 6'2 (187cm) tall. Also, I am going up at least 1 tooth on the front sprocket as almost every review states that 1st and 2nd gear are more or less useless. Hopefully, it will land here in Denmark for delivery next week.

Great review, thanks and I've watched many reviews on these bikes, so test rode a red speed and red Scrambler today, wow what a thumper, thats one busy buzzy lively engine, both models exhausts sound fantastic. Taken the plunge and ordered a black Speed, reasons are.. I can flat foot it, its 10kg lighter and more manoverable which is handy at my age, takes up less space in the garage, height and width. I'm 5ft 8". Dont get me wrong the Scrambler is a smashing looking bike and lots roomier, just a bit tall for me. So the Speed came out tops, luckily picking it up next week.🙂 what I did notice was 2 second hand scramblers in the showroom but no Speeds 🤔 Personally my heart went with the Scrambler mainly due to ascetics but my head went with the Speed, I would advise test ride both and ask for at least 3 hours for each bike.

Nothing added here that we haven't seen in a score or more other rider impression/reviews. I'm not sure why there were frequent comparisons to the 400X...They're practically the same bike so it's a null contribution. There was no recorded "testing" of the 400s known software spots and the reference to the testers indebtedness to the Triumph dealer the bike came from is a virtual flag indicating no fault will be found that might impact on the availability of test bikes in the future.

Being honest guys, I sell these for living, and they’re absolute crap, nicely finished, but sluggish and boring and our demo has started showing rust after a few months. These will not age well.. Reminds me of a Chinese 125 but with a fancy badge

Tank logo and paint scheme are UGLY. ( same for the Trident 660) A plain color paint and the old Triumph vintage logo would have been much better. (and possibly cheaper) "Chrome branding" everywhere looks gimmick, just to give ILLUSION of Triumph quality, but of course, its FAR from their Thaïland made bikes. ( Street triple etc...) Just CHEAP INDIAN BIKE 100% made by Bajaj with Triumph logo and shiny finish. Cheap single disc Ji Juan front brake. No name indian fork. Cheap plastic mirrors that "look like" the much higher quality ones you get on their higher cc bikes., exhaust looks like chinese crap. And already leaking problems on the indian motor... as usual. 6000 bucks the fake small Triumph, is VERY EXPENSIVE for what it is. "Honest" review of a bike from your Triumph dealer friend... 😂

@@robshaw2319Royal Enfield bikes are heavy unreliable crap. I ve tried many of them and i ll NEVER buy their cheaply made, even if nice vintage looking bikes. And more expensive than high quality japanese bikes to service 😂... No thanks, i m not a stupid buyer like most people nowadays. I pay for true quality, not for illusion, "bling bling", or a fake premium image with a marketing branding on the tank... 😉

Getting so worked up and so angry about a new motorcycle 😂 Rather than just not buying it and moving on with your life, you’re watching KZfaq videos and leaving absolute dribble in the comments section. Your wife is one lucky lady 😂

@@aja8590 I have been fan of Triumph for a long time, i ve owned 2 Street triple, fantastic, high quality bike, for a reasonable price. And i ve always made their promotion around me and in comments on KZfaq. But when they come to sell crap at premium price just to make BIG PROFIT , sorry but i have to tell the Truth. ( Same thing with cheaply made BMW F séries or KTM 790, 890 and now 990 made in china or at least the motor, with premium prices, options and servicing, but low reliability...) When you love motorbikes, especially some brands , you expect them to go on in the right direction. Not to make junk.. Thats why im worried. Can you understand that ?? How is your wife with a stupid always smiling guy ? 😘
